Yes.....we all know we are very sad to see that day arrive!:sad2:

But, what do you usually do up until the last minute you HAVE to leave?

We are thinking about just hanging out at the pool (OKW), and eating at Olivia's until our ME pick up around 4pm. I was just wondering what all of you do, to help make the last day not soooooo sad!:confused3

We always spend our last morning at the MK. We get there as early as possible after packing up the suburban. The last thing we do is get a hot dog from Caseys and a dole whip for the road!

Depending on when ME picks us up, we may go to the parks. Last trip we decided to tour the other resorts on the monorail line. It was a lot of fun just to look around at those resorts. The pool would be a nice relaxing way to end the trip too.

Generally just hang out at the hotel.

We just hang out at the resort pool until it's time to head to the airport.:sad1:

We always make sure to have a late flight out. We check out of our resort and go to Ohana for the character breakfast, then we take the boat over to MK and stay there until forced to leave.

We pack up.
Check out of our vacation rental home.
Go to Downtown Disney.
Spend $500.00 at the World of Disney store.
Start the drive back home.

We usually go to DTD. DTD is so nice in the early part of the day, SO less crowded than late afternoon/evening. We pick up last minute souvies and just walk around. And we stay at OKW too and LOVE taking the boat from OKW to DTD. It's such a nice ride. And then we ALWAYS get our last Key Lime tart at Olivia's before leaving. We sit out on the patio, have our tart and sadly wait for our pick up, but the tart helps ease the pain a little.

Generally just hang out at the hotel.

We're really depressed to leave, always stay 10-12 nights and usually at the WL and you would think we had enough. We have a breakfast at the Roaring Forks, have a last look around the resort, pick up a few more souvenirs from the gift shop and hang in the lobby until pick up time, usually 2pm. Hardest thing we do is say good bye, 40 trips and it still chokes us up and we're late 50's, go figure.

We usually have the last flight out so we can go to MK first thing in the morning stay until the parade, then head to Epcot and leave from there. Since we stay at Boardwalk we can just walk to the Hotel. Depending on what we wanted to do that day if we sit an eat at a sit down or eat on the run. We try to get every last minute we can.

Last March we stayed an extra day and left first thing in the morning. ME picked up us at 6am I think it was. SOoo early, so the night before we were in MK until 2am since it was our last night. It was a little aggravating getting the kids up and moving out so early, but once we got up and went to the Lobby, it was easier leaving because I was tired and just wanted to get home.
When we leave at night we cry because we don't want to leave. So each one has it draw backs.

I don't know if we could sit around relaxing ,waiting for the bus to pick us up, that would drive me crazy.

We only live 3 1/2 hours away, but still have to leave eventually. :sad2: Why is Disney like that? We spend our last day at MGM, I don't know why, it just works out that way; soak up as much Disney spirit as we can, say goodbye to our resort and hit the road for home around 8pm or so.

We usually pack up and head to Target to pick up the last items we forgot to buy (no Target here in Iceland and prices in the US are a joke compared to here) and to get our digital photos printed. Then we have an very early dinner before heading to the airport.

:woohoo: DITTO, until every one has gone to the airport! :woohoo:
 :cool1: Then we head home and start planning our next one:cool1:

It completely depends on when our flight home is... if later in the afternoon or early evening, we'll either spend a bunch of time at DTD, or hit a park one last time for a while. If around noon or earlier, then we'll just hang out at the resort.

We also have a late flight out. We have breakfast at Chef Mickey's and one last monorail ride. Then we either tour the resorts or go to downtown disney.

It usually depends on what time our flight leaves. Last year, we had a morning flight so we had a last meal at Pepper Market and then went to the airport. The year before, we had a 2:00 flight and spent the morning at Epcot. This year, we are going to Daytona Beach for five days after leaving Disney, so we will spend our final day at Disney at the Magic Kingdom, with our final meal being at the Plaza Restaurant. We will leave around 3:00 or so for Daytona.

We always go to one of the parks until we have to leave. Usually Studios since we almost always leave on a Sunday. Since we have annual passes it doesn't cost us extra. Leave after the last interpreted show or the parade and drive on down the road getting home between 9 and 1am depending on when we actually head out and where we stop to eat.

We have a 550 mile drive, so we usually get up and get out. Our upcoming trip will be no exception. I've got to photograph a wedding the day after we get home.:scared1: I may take it easy the later part of the trip, I don't want to be weary at the wedding..

I always plan a late flight out of MCO, so I can go to the MK and stay until I'm 'forced' to leave (usually around 3 pm). Then it goes downhill from there until I get home.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Time permitting, we like to make one last brief visit to the MK, specifically to ride the TTA! We love that ride and there is seldom a wait! Then we spend a little time on Main Street, just savoring the moment and enjoying the atmosphere. But if our pickup time is earlier in the day, we enjoy just chilling at the resort.
