What do you do on the day you arrive to the USA?
What time of day do you normally arrive?

We are not at our best on arrival day.

Arrive 4pm ish.
Drive to hotel.
Check-in.
Explore hotel.
Have a family row.
Have a fast food meal.
Crash out and sleep (maybe watch TV first)

3am next morning either unpack or sit in bathroom and read until rest of family wakes up!

Depending on how lost we get we usually get to the hotel between 5-7pm, we check in, leave our stuff in the room and go for a wander round the hotel and get something to eat. We then unpack, watch a bit of TV and then go to bed by about 10pm. In the past we have gone for a swim but usually we just crash out.

Arrival varies on which flight we are on - but the routine is usually similar:

Arrive at resort and check in
Go to room and unpack essentials
Head out to the nearest park for a CS meal
Come back and put DD to bed (usually around 8.30 - 9pm)
Unpack a bit more and then crash!
Up around 5am!!

This is what we do nearly EVERY time......
arrive at hotel at about 5 or 7 depending on which flight we are on.
Unpack
Catch the boat to DTD from POR
have a bite to eat at Wolfgang Puck
wander around DTD feeling very tired
Go back to the hotel and sleep and just wake up and go at a leisurely pace!

After checking - into hotel.....
Check out the wifi
unpack a few things
Trip to Walmart for supplies
Call in a DTD
Bed
Awake at 4:00 :scared1: waiting for rope drop :rotfl:

We arrive anytime from mid afternoon on a direct flight upto midnight if indirect.

Depending how much time we have we get to hotel, nip to supermarket, DTD, a snack(crisps or something unless hungry then have a McD or similar) stay awake as long as poss usually fall asleep between 11-12, set alarm for 7am, I often wake just before it goes off for an early start in a park.

Edit, Wifi is also 1st thing we check before unpacking, if that doesn't work it's back to reception for another room.

the last two years we've arrived at the hotel about 5pm - quick shower, get changed - head to the Magic Kingdom - eat at Pecos Bills, ride Pirates of the Caribbean, ride anything else with a short queue - head back to hotel about 8pm (I'm getting too tired to drive and I get lost and its getting dark). Bed by 9pm - up at 5am!!

Next year we're on the later flight but for the first time staying on property - which means I don't need to drive to the parks which means we'll probably do something similar and catch the bus back (No worries about getting lost and falling asleep at the wheel!)

We find our way around the hotel and either head to DTD, or if were too tired, grab our refillable mugs, grab a pizza and wander round taking resort photos. Then earlyish to bed so we can get up super early next day :)

I guess it depends on how long it takes to get out of airport and how long the transfer takes to get to hotel.

I think our plan will be get all park maps and leaflets to update any plans we will of already made, grab a bite to eat, have a quick stroll round resort then early bed (well late bed I suppose as will still be on uk time) :)

Eat snack type meal and bed

European flights land mid afternoon at the earliest - then you have to factor in immigration, customs, bag collection (twice at MCO), car hire/transport, travel to resort, check in.

Laughing at the row comments - didn't have one this year (think we were too knacked with running for the connection :))

Bit of a change from the old routine for us next year, we're normally at Downtown Disney on the first evening, but we'll be at Universal for the first four nights.

Plans are to have a look round the Royal Pacific resort, maybe have a dip in the pool, and then first night drinks, though I haven't decided whether they'll be at Jakes American bar or Margaritaville!

Depends how many drinks Ive had when we land!! :rotfl2:

Normally the cases are dropped off at the hotel & check in, then head out for a wonder, some food and a few beers. Nothing too much on the first day!

arrive at hotel between 4 or 5
unpack as quickly as possible
get changed
head straight to MK
walk about in dreamland
then go for pre booked ADR at the crystal palace
head back about 10
wake up around 5 and have a swim
wait for the kids to get up
then off to a park for rope drop:dance3:
