What do you do for laundry detergent?

I'm in the minority but I just cough up a $2 for the little box at the VWL store if I do so much laundry that I use up what they give me when we arrive and on T&T day. I'm just not that into doing laundry on my vacation and don't want to worry about leakage if I brought my own.

Oh, I didn't even know you could buy it at the store. Is there any for sale at SSR?

I am sure that there would be some at the SSR store, too. I've never been there but it looks bigger than the VWL store from pics I've seen. The box I bought in January was a bit bigger than what DVC provided. I ended up tossing out about a load's worth of soap.

You may want to bring a few dryer sheets if you use them.

I did see the small Tide box at the Beach Club Marketplace. I believe they were 1.75 each.

Local laundromat 50 - 75 cents - not bad if you only take one or two additional boxes (if you plan on doing laundry).

I purchased Dropps from Walmart.com They are like little gel packs that dissolve in the wash. I thought they worked great! They were 4 something for 20 of the little gel packs

For our trip this past summer, I found travel size bottles of ALL detergent at Target for about $1.00 in the travel section.

Yep! We did this last time too. The ALL was a very small bottle (3-4oz??) and held 2 loads. Since we were using a small washer in the villa and even then not quite full I got 3 loads out of it easily. Along with using the given box of Tide at checkin and Trash and Towel we are all set.

ETA: I just picked up a few more last week for future trips. They were located in front of the pharmacy in the bins of travel items.

I bought Dropp's yesterday at Walmart.com. They were $6 plus shipping at the Dropp's site for a bag of 20, and the same bag was $4.57 at Walmart. With shipping it came to something like $6.63.
Thanks for the warning about packing them in a rigid container. I would not have thought of that.
