I have my digital camera that I love..but printing pics are a PITA, or I could always try a snapfish type site or something like that..but still, that's pricey, isn't it? Isn't it like 15 cents a pic to print through them?

So I am thinking of buying a few disposable cameras and just do some film developing, and using this with my digital camera. And the photopass, too. :scared1: I don't want to put all my eggs in one camera basket, in case my digital camera craps out on the way home or something. :scared1:

The disposable cameras will be nice, because those cheap and I can do cheapie film developing for about $5 for double prints. Then I have a ton of pics for grandmas/grandpas/kids' albums without the work.

Hmmm..what does everyone else do?

To me printing pictures doesn't make sense any more. It is extremely expensive and with digital cameras you usually have a lot more to print.

I stopped in 2004 and bought a digital picture frame. I picked one out after reading a lot of reviews on Amazon.com and got an 8" by 10" model.
We have over a thousand pictures on it and love to leave it on, now we look at our pictures all the time instead of once in a rare while. The frame looks great in our living room. FYI, the cost of printing all those shots was about five times as the cost of the frame and the more we do the more we save.

Prints fade over time, you have to also buy albums..

I'm confused. I love my digital camera. I took over 2,000 pics on my last disney trip. There are digital options like disney digital scrapbooks.

The good thing is that you can print what you want to print, when you want to print them.

I vote for your digital camera.

Film is very expensive to develop.

i love my digital. i have 2 an slr and a point and shoot, my problem is i dont know which to take:confused3

i use online storage for them and print what i want to have. i dont need a pile of pictures hanging around, i only need the few i want to frame or give away. i use kodak for storage and ofoto to print them. i think it works out great.

i would never do the photopass cd thing, now thats a waste of money. its $99 just to own the rights to pictures of yourself. then you still have to pay to print them. i dont see how that would cost less?

those little disposable cameras are expensive if you want a quality picture. the cheapos, well you might pay 5.00 for the camera and then a couple bucks to print a bunch of pictures that are over exposed. you dont know what youll get.

I would use your digital camera. You would spend lots of money on the disposible cameras and then more money to develop them.

With your digital camera you can make your own WDW movie with pictures and video clips on your computer. You can also get a digital frame like the pp mentioned. You do not have to develop all of the pictures you take. I know you end up taking more photos with a digital camera, but you can choose the best ones to develop.

The quality on disposable cameras are horrible. Plus once you by a few disposable cameras you will have spent the same as printing pictures from your digital camera. And with digital you can pick and choose what you print.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe you don't print your pictures?!?! What if something happens to the files? Prints are the only thing that won't go crazy or need some sort of computer or something to view - like a book, you know? Anyway - to each their own, right? Glad you like the frame (I've seen some really nice looking ones!)!
I'm crazy about printing my pictures and usually use the creative memories website for printing, but they are more expensive then others (I just like the quality of their prints). If you buy a prepaid package - say for like 100 prints, it's usually cheaper. Some of the cheaper websites I know of are snapfish and winkflash - again - buy a prepaid package and it could cost you as little as 7 cents a piece! And like someone mentioned you can put your digital pictures into a digital scrapbook and print it to have and hold forever. I guess for me if I can't hold the picture it doesn't seem "real"! Of course I'm the first to admit I'm a little over-the-top with pictures and take over 100 a month and print about 80 of those! And that's without a vacation - crazy? yes. yes it is!

We don't print all our pictures either. There are other options. We use flickr as a back up and also have them on our computer.

As for printing the pictures you can find all kinds of free codes from sites like snapfish etc. Just do a search and get free and reduced prints.

The files are stored on a computer, and also backed up on two external hard drives, one of these is kept in a safe deposit box at a bank. So I have 3 copies plus the ones on the digital frame. Backing up the pictures takes less than 5 minutes. I do the same for all my Disney movies as well.

I have a decent digital camera, but it's a HUGE pain in the butt! Pics never seem to come out right. I think I'm going to buy a few disposables!

I HATE printing digital pics, and at least if it's film, I'll get 'em developed.

I know, I'm a weirdo. :upsidedow
