What do you do, before you leave?

Clean the house so the only thing that needs doing when we get back is the many loads of washing, pack, re-pack and pack again as things get added or taken out, then I check several times that everyones passports and necessary paperwork are all together in the right bag ready to go. Once all thats done theres just about enough time for a quick bath then fall into bed for a few hours before its time to leave for the airport.

I spend the week before rushing round like a lunatic. I have 20 ponies ,2 dogs and a business to sort out. Two friends house and dog sit for us. They oversea the ponies but I have to arrange for someone to come in and do any physical work as my friend is getting on a bit now, mind you she does spring clean my house for me. I have to write endless lists about the ponies and who is doing what with the business.

The day before we go I manage to find 20 minutes to put somethings in a case for Dh and me. We can then go away for 2 weeks and deal with everything else when we get back.

I can see a male/female divide here.
I do just about nothing. Only thing I really do is charge up and pack the electrical stuff, 2 Laptops, Camcorder, Digi SLR, Digi compact, underwater cam, PDA with satnav, 3 mobiles, 2 Laptops, Gameboy, MP3 player.
Other thing is check all documents are in order.

I think the cases pack themselves, they must do, Ive never done them.

I usually work right up to leaving for airport, has been known for DW to drive up and drag me out of the shop. I am not as bad as I used to be, I now try close the business down the day before we fly.

Hi all

I can't believe how many of us do the same things LOL
I didn't expect so many replies ha ha ha ha.
I also clean the house from top to bottom so that when I return it's stress free, but I thought I was a little crazy doing that one so I didn't write it on my list!
