In April I believe the Park closes at 7pm.

I just wanted some general advice really. Do most of you try and make dinner reservations for 7.15 or earlier/later.

Is it best to eat in the hotel on the 1st night as it appears that this whole disney thing is really tiring!!! Also would you recommend the Buffalo Bill Show?

PS if you don't make reservations anywhere is it usually too busy to get anywhere to eat?

I highly recommend the Buffalo Bill show, it was fantastic. Especially if you have boys that are into cowboys :) But even if you have girls who are not then they will like it too :)

I wasnt overly Keen on the food, it seemed a bit dried out to me.. but hubby and 2 sons didnt complain and ate most of mine too ;)

Its tiring every day but it doesnt really make much of a difference if you eat in the hotel or not.. unless you know you wont stand up after a belly full lol.. you could of course pay a charge (Euro 10 I think) and have dinner bought to your room :)

We only booked the once at Cafe Mickey for lunch at 1.30 and they met 7 characters, 3 just about to leave so just caught them.. which was brilliant.

You can always book things from your hotel concierge or city hall the morning you are planning to eat, or night before.. depending how busy it will be in April? Was quiet all round for me last week so didnt really need to. Waited an hour to be seated in Planet Hollywood though but it was just as the park closed so a busy time.

Hot chocolate was delicious and a great end to the day having it delievered with room service :santa:

what kind of group are you? ages etc.
do any of you speak french?
in april 2007 some of the extra magic hours were in the evening. if these continue and you are at a disney hotel you can hang about.
i like eating at inventions after the park closes as it's so close.
they don't actually kick you out though - you can walk around and enjoy the atmosphere, or look in the shops on main street.
disney village is open until very late. there is loads to do there. there is hurricanes disco, a cinema etc as well as all the restaurants and shops.

Hi,

There are 4 adults (in our 30's) and 2 children, girls aged 10 and 6. No we don't know much french.

I believe the EMH are in the morning for April 2008.

Where is Inventions by the way?

inventions is in the disneyland hotel. it's a buffet.
it's great - woderful food and lots of characters if you eat slowly.

you could also have a night-time coach tour or boat tour of paris.
last time we were there as they switched the lights on in the eiffel tower. that was lovely.
also a shopping trip to val d'europe might be nice.

buffalo bills is indeed great.

Buffalo Bill is a really good show, that's a good thing to do in the evening. Cafe Mickey and Rainforest Cafe are really good and fun places to have dinner, you can easily spend a couple of hours there! And then you can always do one of the best things in the world.... SHOPPING!!!

I would recommend booking your evening meals. We were there last week and it was pretty quiet in the parks. I tried booking meals as soon as I got there but they couldn't offer anything before 8.30 which is just too late for DD.
If you want to eat as soon as the parks close, you really need to book in advance as that's when everyone wants to eat!

If the park closes at 7, this only means that the rides close at 7. Stores on Main Street will stay open until 8.

Usually, when the park closes early, we shop until we drop in the Village first, and have dinner reservations around 9-9.30.

This leaves us time to go to the room, drop off stuff, put on other clothes/ shoes, use the bathroom, ...
