What do YOU consider a "quickie trip" to WDW?

I'm doing 2 nights this weekend but only one full day. Star Wars weekend. On the arrival and departure days there will not be time to go to a park.

I think a huge factor is how far from Orlando you are.

I agree with this :thumbsup2 We're about a 22 hour drive. We always fly so 2.5 hours but if we lived closer, I'm sure doing less than 4 nights would make more sense to us.

When we lived in central FL, just about an hour's drive north of Disney, we'd often drive down in the early morning, get to whichever park at opening, and leave sometime in the afternoon. Occasionally we'd stay overnight in order to stay for things like Illuminations, so that we didn't have to drive back home late on the turnpike. Once we moved back to PA, anything under 5 days just wouldn't even be considered!! We'd fly down and stay on property. We did that last May and because we know our way around the area and the parks -- at least we did prior to FP+ -- we can easily do all that we like in a fairly short time.

We did a quickie trip with our son and it was three nights with a four day park hopper. We got a lot done on that trip. The only thing that was hard to do was DHS. The shows have inconvenient times for people who need to get in and out quickly. But we had plenty of time at MK, AK and Epcot.

A six night trip is the longest we ever do. It gives us enough time for everything including time for repeats. :)

Coming from WI also!

Quick trip would be 4-5 nights with 2-3 parks days. My upcoming trip will only be 2 park days since I'm no fan of AK and HS doesn't seem worth the extra park ticket at this point. We will do a long day at MK and Epcot and have 2 days for touring resorts and DTD.

A long trip would be anything over 7 nights/5 park days.

My preferred trip is 6 days with 4 park days.

My quickie trips are generally 2 days/3 nights. I try to book the earliest flight out of Philly or Baltimore (around 6 am) and return on an early evening flight (6-7 pm). It's usually solo and focused on something - photography, an event (like Harambe nights). Typically stay at a value - whichever I can get the cheapest. I do rent a car so I don't have to waste valuable time waiting for a bus. Also do mostly counter service for meals. I usually hit all four parks at some point, but missed AK on my last trip because I was focusing on Epcot for F&G photos and night time fireworks at MK and Epcot.

We're doing a 3 night stay with 2 day park hoppers in November. We're going to be in Florida visiting family, and could not possibly be in the same state and NOT go to WDW ;) Our budget (thankfully with the FD) is allowing us to do a short day :)

Longest trip we have ever done was 5 nights/5 day tickets. We have gone to holiday weekends, so all trips are "short trips". We did snag 10 day PH WPM NE tickets just before they were eliminated so we can continue this for a few years before paying for tickets again (other than party tickets).

Living two hours away from the park a quick trip for me would be one park day or two with a one night stay. A long trip would be 5 or 6 days since 4 is our usual.

The shortest trip I would be willing to do is 4 days. I can't imagine not having a day for each park. We fly from NJ, not super far, but far enough that it is not practical to go for less.

A long trip is 8 days or more. On our one 8-day trip it felt long, not rushed, like we had plenty of time to fit in 'extras'.

We used to do 6/7 day trips every other year. But now we've started alternating between the long and short trips. I like that, they each have a different feel to them.

For us a quickie trip would be 10 days. Not worth the trouble and expense for us to get there for anything less than that.

i'm heading down next month- thursday night through tuesday morning- 4 park days. Pretty short :(

We went in 2013 for 3 days. We drove from VA to GA on Friday, got to Disney on Sat morning, went to DTD. Next day, we went to MK all day and stayed through MNSSHP. The next day we went to HS in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon. Drove straight home the next day. I wanted to go once more while our oldest was still free. We didn't get to see everything we wanted to, but we had a blast. Our next trip is 7 days

I'm doing a 5-day, 4-night trip next month and that's short for me! But...I'm also in Boston so it's not like I'm *that* close to Florida.

I don't know... Anything less than 7 nights would seem like a quickie trip for us! Just the thought of a quick trip gives me a blah feeling.

To me, a short trip is anything less than 5 nights/4 full days (not counting arrival/departure days). WDW is about 18 hours from me by car, but only 2.5 hours by air and one of the cheapest destinations for air travel so I've taken a few quickie trips over the years. I'm planning another for fall - 4 nights, but only 2 park days because I'm combining Disney with an Orlando-area conference.

A long trip, to me, is anything over a week. Once we get to 10+ nights it is too long - DH and the kids really don't like being away from the comforts of home and from our animals that long, so it isn't something we do for trips like Disney that can be done in less time and/or repeated. Driving cross country or flying overseas demands more time but there's no reason to push beyond our comfort zone for WDW.

Well, my shortest WDW quick visit was about 5 hours on 2 different visits to MK when I was in Orlando for a USO visit and wanted to get some time at WDW. (This was 14 and 17 years ago when the ticket prices were not as crazy.) I have also done quite a few 1 day visits while being in Florida for other reasons.

Still to me, I would consider any trip SPECIFICALLY to visit WDW that is 3 days or less to be considered a "quick" trip. Basically what I would consider a weekend getaway trip.
