what do you collect?!?!?

I've been collecting Disney Christmas ornaments for 20+ years - my entire tree is Disney.

I also collect Disney pins, snowglobes and bean bags.

The last couple of years I've been collecting Martin Truex, Jr. (NASCAR) stuff.

China...all kinds of beautiful china. :teeth: Have collected soooo much that when anyone in the family marries I can usually find a complete set (serving pieces included) to give as a gift. The sets that are rare are stored in cabinets but I have sets that are still in boxes in the garage...no room in the house! Yep, love the stuff! And the only requirement for buying is that I find it pretty. :goodvibes

I collect Snowglobes. The glass ball ones, not the cheap plastic kind. Disney ones are my favorite, but I have ones that aren't Disney too.

Breyer model horses!! I love them. My friend started me when we were like 10. She had her mom's from when she was a kid and we didn't even know what they were, but I knew I need one. I have over 100 now.

Also, Gretchen Wilson things. I'm not as into that though.

I collect Star Wars, Barbies, and anything with Kaa (the snake). I also realized as I opened a delivery from Hasbro to find Artoo Potatoo, that I am now a Potato Head collector. Thanks Disney. :thumbsup2

I collect anything with the Wizard of Oz on it (see screen name). Hallmark ornaments (Disney and Oz) are another one of my obessions and so are Disney Harmony Kingdom Boxes.

Collie stuff - I have a ton of stuffed animals and figurines, but also unique things like a brass door sign.

Turtles, we get a new one in each country we visit.

Does it have to be family, can it be friends? ;) :teeth:

Just kidding.

Anyway, I'll be in Florida in less than 2 weeks. We will have to meet up for lunch or something.

DH and I have been collecting original art... it's a fun, but expensive hobby! ;)

I collect dishes made by Anchor Hocking---The Early American Prescut pattern also known as Star of David-----I'm still missing a lot---My mom had 2 pieces she was going to give away to charity so I snatched them up and have been adding pieces I find at 2nd hand stores. They were mass produced but I love it! If anyone has any pieces they'd like to get rid of just pm me and if it's pieces I don't have I may be willing to take them off your hands!! :goodvibes

I collect baseball cards. I used to build entire sets, but I don't anymore. So I look for particular players that I like. Right now, I am always on the lookout for David Wright, Jose Reyes, Lastings Milledge, Carlos Beltran, etc. I also have a nice collection of autograph cards of many Hall of Famers including Johnny Bench, Yogi Berra & Al Kaline. I have an autograph card of Barry bonds, but I haven't checked the value lately.

I also collect snowglobes (mostly Disney). I'm starting my DVD collection too.

I love these little peeks into other people's lives type posts.

I collect gargoyles, sea shells and anything with a fleur de lis on it.

Baby dolls and "kid-like" dolls. I don't like the grown Barbies or other dolls depicting adults. Just kids and babies. I've got some of those Lots to Love babies.......they are so darn cute.........a couple more expensive vinyl dolls, one African American girl, a set of Asian twins, and a boy that reminds me of my sons (I do prefer vinyl or rag). I've got a set of the Barbie little kids dressed up as Wizard of Oz characters, and a Barbie baby bath set.......just the baby and accessories. I've got some tiny cabbage patch babies and bought some of the 5 Ums accessories for those. I've got the Disney waterbabies (Thumper, Roo, Mickey and Minnie, and Dumbo), and the little French Disney babies they sold several years ago at Disney World (Mickey, Minnie, Tigger and Pooh). I've also got Little Bill and a Cabbage Patch Rough N Tough. I also love rag dolls. I have two my grandmother made when I was young, a Mexican rag doll, and Raggedy Ann and Andy. I also have several porcelain babies that have been given to me..........three Asian, one angel redhead and a Raggedy Ann and Andy set. I love babies and children, and the dolls just come from that. I have no girls, but I buy dolls anyway. Both my boys have played with babies, and each had a "friend" (the Cabbage Patch for my first and Little Bill for my second), but otherwise the dolls were bought for me and any future daughter or granddaughter I may have.

I go for the vinyl or rag type because I want my little girl or granddaughter to be able to play with them. Eventually, I hope to be like my cousin's grandmother. She collected only Kewpies (I don't have any Kewpies, but I'd like to). She used to invite every little girl that visited her to choose one for her very own. I'd like to do the same when I'm old..........it'd be nice. I'd get to enjoy the dolls, and then delight children with them. I look forward to then.

I have a small collection of teapots on the top of my kitchen cabinets.........a copper, one bought in Chinatown in San Fran, a chicken, an apple, one that looks like a house, one like a snowman. I'd like a Disney one.

My dh collects Star Wars and matchbox-type Jeeps.

If it was up to DH he'd gladly give *all* the dishes to you! :teeth:

Less than 2 weeks? Wonderful! Looking forward to meeting up with you and, hopefully, seeing your beautiful new place. But lunch....I wake up at "lunch". Mid to late afternoon will work. :teeth:

Cool collections everyone! :cool1:

For me it's Angels, Teddy Bears, mugs and Xmas ornaments from every state visited ;-)

Each Sunday morn we have coffee in our Nana & Pop Pop mugs or a different state. :teeth:

I collect Penguins, Mickey Mouse stuff, Celtic things
