What do you carry?

First week in June.

Two adults: 40 and 65

Three children: 10, 10 and 8

What do you carry on you and how do you carry it?

I carry my ticket, my driver's license, credit card, cash and a camera. I carry it in a small waist pack.

Ticket, ID, hotel express pass, a form or two of money.
Camera on a crossbody strap b/c it's big (looks like a DSLR but it's just a point and shoot)
Sunscreen in a small bottle.
Generally some protein bars just in case someone in the group is in need of something.
Water bottle. During our September trip we brought in an Igloo backpack cooler full of water b/c we don't like having to wait in line to get ice water. (that's a pain in the lockers, though, even though it's not overly large)


I tend to use a lanyard for the cards and money; my current configuration is a Ravenclaw "school tie" design lanyard that they sell at the parks (DH and DS have their own but different Houses) with a clear, thin Witz-brand waterproof case on it.

If we have the cooler backpack then sunscreen goes in an outside pocket and the protein bars go inside. If we don't have that, someone carries a smaller satchel-type bag.

Question about carrying things and riding rides......We haven't been since 2009 and you had to use a locker if you had a bag or purse unless it was around your waist.

Is that still the case?

I don't like using the lockers, so if it doesn't fit in my pocket, it doesn't go. While I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them around here, at Universal I always wear a pair of cargo shorts. My small point and shoot camera goes in one pocket, my cell phone and a small lip balm in the other, and then I have a small Vera Bradley zip ID that holds my AP, a CC, DL, and a small amount of cash that fit in an upper zipped pocket. Sunglasses are on my head or in my hand.

I don't want to deal with lockers at all so if it doesnt fit in the pants or the waist pack, it doesnt go

I carried a backpack. There are 4 of us (one is still in diapers). I had

Towel
Diapers
Wipes
Sunscreen
4 pairs of sunglasses
2 large bottles of water

The backpack was never a problem. Because of the 2 year old, the two adults in our party never went on a ride together that didn't allow packs. So we just switched off. There was nothing overly heavy, so the pack wasn't ever a burden. Worked great for us.

Any counter service will give you free cups of water, no need to carry drinks.

This is what we do. Makes touring nice.
