What do you carry in the parks

First rule, everyone but the 4 yr old carries their own stuff! Mom is not a pack mule. If you want to bring it you carry it.

I wouldn't bring crayons or the kindle. You don't have any 2 yr olds they are old enough to sit and talk before a meal or look thru the park map and think about what they want to do later.

Get lanyards or clips and then everyone can carry their own drink bottles.

I would throw in my Imitrex for a migraine and always have a few Motrin in a baggy.

Your list otherwise is pretty good, just remember only like 2 band aids, 2 tissues, a couple wipes in a snack size zip lock.

Always tell your self "I'm going to Disneyworld, not a 3rd world country"

One thing I'd add that I haven't seen ...

A couple of sandwich sized ziplock bags for phones on wet rides. If, of course, you plan on riding wet rides.

I think it depends when you travel and if you do rest breaks. My DH and I take nothing more than will fit in his short pockets (including a wristlet for me) and dress pockets for me.

We start the day with spf 70+, we are back at the resort for pool time mid-day and reapply and then reapply before leaving in the afternoon/evening. (I'm BIG on sunscreen just don't don't want to haul it with us.).

So I take, ID, hotel key/MB, a few 20s, cc, lip gloss or chap stick, iphone and the stick sunscreen in my wristlet - sometimes I take a mascara if I'm feeling froggy.

DH takes ID, hotel key/MB, cc, a few 20s, iphone and maybe some chap stick.

We both wear sunglasses. We almost never travel during times when it would be cool, except maybe in the evening needing a cardigan or something, at which time we would have been in for break and I could throw on some leggings to go with my evening outfit and he could throw on some pants.

We don't do ponchos. If it rains we find something to do, or grab a cab and go back to our resort. We're just not that hardcore and very much find having a few cocktails at the resort bar more pleasant:)

Last trip I decided to go bag less

In one pocket I had a small zip pouch that the wrist strap would fit around my belt loop.

$20
AP
Disney Visa
DL
A flat pack of meds (container store love this)
Chapstick
Stick floss

Other pocket

Phone

Back pocket

Disposable poncho
Flat pack of Kleenex

Wore my transition glasses so no need for sunglasses
Sanitizer is clipped to wristlets

Water bottle (refillable) in neoprene sleeve attached to belt loop

Did great, loved no bag. Just make sure you shorts fit, baggy shorts will not hold up to pocket style touring.

My rule is that if it won't fit in a pair of cargo shorts, it doesn't come. A typical loadout would be:

- Park Wallet (card insert) - holds ID, one CC, some cash, small card with ADR/FP+ times
- Sunscreen
- Glasses/Sunglasses
- Sports strap for fast rides where I need to be able to see
- Phone
- Pre-Folded Poncho - single use
- small tube of ibuprofen and stomach medication

Brian is my kind of guy. ;) We travel light. I don't want to carry that crap!

I bring a backpack. If it's cold, we may bring jackets, but we go as light as possible for carrying/storing.

--a few bottles of water
--granola bars or similar (usually just 3) to tide the girls over just in case.
--sunscreen
--sunglasses for all
--phone for dh, dd14 and me
--portable phone charger
--a few blister band-aids for just in case as well as a bottle of motrin
--ponchos only if it seems liked we'll be directly affected by rain.

Looks good with what others have added. I would even consider putting sunscreen on DD or DH in the morning only and leaving the hotel. Need to re-apply or it's useless. I find that if I need a band aid, I don't want to walk to first aid. We bring a water bottle, get the free water and ice and dump in the insulated water bottle. I carry the single packet lemonade for her. Kleenex and hand wipes are must haves for us. I don't want to be searching for the bathroom - which often needs washing - to wash my hands to have a snack then find another one to eat my lunch. We also use them to wipe the nasty tables when we eat QS. I will admit, I'm a little OCD about hand washing but DD is also almost never sick :) I do glows sticks (from the dollar store). I hang them on the stroller at night so I can find it if it gets moved and also have DD wear one in case we get separated.

We don't carry anything anymore. If I'm really concerned about the MB's working right then I take ID, cash, and credit card but that is it. It is really freeing to not carry a bunch of stuff and not having to go through the bag check lines.

If I didn't have to carry my daughter's epi pen I probably wouldn't take a bag at all.

That being said in the bag will go the epi pen, a lightweight change of clothing so she can play in the water features and still change, and some veggie pouches maybe just because we can. Sunglasses and the drivers license/credit card will go in my pocket in case I need it and am separated from DH who normally carries the bag for me since I have to carry it most days I get a nice break while on vacation!
