What do you call your child's rear?

We call it a batootie(? spelling) or my 4yo likes to call it her "buttocks". She thinks that word is hysterical!

If I want them to laugh, I call it their bumbum. Normally I call it their butt. My ds corrects me though. He says his teacher calls it his bottom.

Being of Italian descent, my parents and grandparents always called it a "coolie", not sure of the spelling though, lol.:teeth:

We use "butt", but DH grew up calling it "bum". (He's from Pittsburgh.) He and his friends also called their mothers "mum" instead of "mom". Until I met him, I thought only people in the UK used "mum".

As an L&D RN I was orienting a new RN from Canada. Our patient was pushing and she kept yelling Push the baby out your BUM. WE, the doc,pt and Dad all looked at her like she grew horns until she finally translated for us.

In our hous its "Sit on your rumpkin, bumpkin."

"Situpon" was what we called those little cushion seats we used in Girl Scouts!:D

DS's had a first grade teacher who called it

"bunzinis"

That is what I use now.

With DS we call it a hiney or his bottom. When he is dancing around we tell him to shake his bootie. Whenever I call it a rear end DS starts cracking up , for some reason he thinks that is the funniest word.

When they were little: bum bum.

Now - it's buttocks.

And when I'm really mad (here goes that coveted Mother of the Year award down the drain) - it's "get you a** down here right now, cause you're in big trouble!!":o
