What do you call the place in your house with sink and toilet

I only ask because I have seen it be called multiple things

I agree. It's a powder room, if there's no tub/shower. But I will typically SAY "I have to use the bathroom" or "toilet" or "restroom" if I'm heading there.

I don’t generally refer to it as anything, but if you look at the stats for the house, it says 2 1/2 baths, so bathroom would probably be as appropriate as the other terms. I have heard powder room used in reference to a toilet/sink configuration in a home, but I have only heard restroom used in reference to public facilities.

I am pretty sure "washroom" is a Canadian term, or at least not one that is used in the States, every time I have used the term in the States I have received blank stares...one guy in Seattle actually outright asked me where in Canada I was from!

However I used to live in an apartment with a 4' bathtub, and toilet. The Realtor called it a 3/4 bthrm and we called it part of the Lilliputian maid's quarters. The bedroom next door had no closet when we first moved in.
