Just curious how I did for budgeting for food and what others do. I know there are many different options and different ranging prices.
We are 2 adults a 3year old and nearly 1 yr old. We probably would split our food with kids, but still planned meal costs in for 3 yo(last trip dh and I splt most lunches so split with kids would be fine). Cocktails would be not included in budget but I do think from lunch money I might have left over to buy an ice cream or something.

I planned breakfast in resort(full kitchen)

Lunch I planned $15 per adult
$10 for 3 yo

Dinner $40 per adult
$15 for 3 yo

Side note- I have been saving coins for 3 1/2 yrs for this trip. All coins will go towards food, cashed it in this week and had...$568!! so a good amount of our food costs covered! Yah!!
My ADR are for
Ohanas
50s PT cafe
Crystal palace
San Angel
(I also have chef mickeys breakfast but didnt include that in budget)

This is about what i did... we are going in July, and it will be just two of us... age 17 and 18 (HS GRAD trip).

I planned 65 dollars a day each... this gives us the 15 dollar for lunch 40 for supper, and the last ten a day for a grocery stop at the beginning to get a few breakfast items and two cases of bottle water etc... and just odd snacks around.

We have purposely over budgeted on food, as for our 13 day trip we budgeted... 1100 canadian each... this will turn into about 880 US each...
and 13 days * 65 is 845 so i hope we come out close to even... it is hard when dealing with a exchange rate on top of the high food costs.

It also depends on if you want to do a charceter meal they cost a little more and also in World Showcase at the countries. We at lunch in France and it was $70 and ate dinner in Mexico and dinner cost less.

what you have budgeted sounds good. We are doing the dxddp so we it is all paid for now, but that is the way we wanted it. I dont want to have to worry about how much I will need for each meal each day. have you looked at the menus on wdwinfo.com or allears.net they are great. I accually sat down and figured up what our meals were going to cost us to see if we were going to save as to where all we wanted to eat and decided it would save us.

I did check out all of the menus, thanks. I dont even like having to plan dinners and make ADR so I dont know where Ill be eating for CS meals. The menus is where I got my initial budget though, just figured what most places average. I have Crystal palace for dinner for a character meal in my budget and it will be w/in my range. Chef mickeys was not in the budget plan as I know it will be more. I would not do a pricey TS meal, esp, for characters, my kids are so little anyway.
