What do you bring to work for lunch?

My fall back is greek yogurt and fresh fruit. I have that probably 3 days a week.

Other days I'll have some type of leftovers from the night before, or a salad, or Turkey wrap (sliced turkey, fat free cream cheese, in a low carb wrap).

Most days I make a salad with pita bread and a granola bar or fruit for a snack. To make it simple, I buy the box of pre-washed organic spring mix from Costco which will last all week. I add a few chopped up cucumber slices, some red onion, a handful of grape tomatoes (cut in half) and sprinkle a couple of tablespoons of pre-crumbled Feta cheese (buy a large container at Costco). I keep a bottle of Kraft Greek Feta and Oregano dressing in the fridge at work. Takes about 5 minutes to prepare in the morning and it is soooo yummy.

Today, pasta salad is on tap :goodvibes

Whole Wheat Pasta
Frozen Peas
Oil/Vinegar Dressing
Spices like salt, pepper, italian seasoning, garlic

Other times we'll make pb&j, salad, veggie wraps with hummus, fruit, nuts, raw food bars (like Larabars, pure bars), DH likes Clif bars.

Most of the suggestions so far are what I do. Yogurt, fiber bars, deli-flat turkey/lettuce sandwich, fruit (cups or fresh), healthy crunchy snack. Always have something in the drawer for the "didn't have time to pack a lunch" day. There's also a Wawa across the street so there have been days I'll walk over there. (walk? yeah, I meant drive):rotfl: There is always someone ordering lunch as well; I treat myself once every couple of weeks.

I usually have leftovers from the night before. I also like Amy's frozen bean and cheese burritos. Sometimes I'll have bread/English muffin/bagel with peanut butter. Today I have pasta salad (tri-colored twists, broccoli, red onion, salami and Caesar dressing). I also like tuna slaw (bag of shredded cabbage, canned tuna, diced onions, mayo and a little sweet relish) and chicken slaw (chicken salad mixed with a bag of shredded cabbage). The crunch from the cabbage is excellent. In the winter DH and I make soup, chili and stew pretty frequently and they are great for lunch.

My job takes me on the road 3-4 days a week so I always have the option to visit any type of restaurant/quick service place in my territory HOWEVER that being said I only treat myself to 1 lunch a week at one of those places, for budget reasons and dietary reasons.;)

Otherwise I have my lunch in my thermal lunch tote in my car with cold packs. I usually bring a chicken (of the sliced variety from Boars head) or turkey on a sandwich thin. I usually put tomato and avocado and sometimes vary it with my homemade pesto instead of he avocado. I make a bean salad I keep in the frig for the week so that goes in a small container (about 1/4 cup size). When I don't have that I throw in a small zip-loc of Baked Lays and a small container of apple sauce.

For dessert I usually toss in a 100 calorie pack of cookies or even one of those new Skinny Cow goodie packets. I try to always have a zip-loc of mixed nuts for a snack if I get hungry later in the afternoon.

Oh and even on those days I have lunch at a restaurant I always keep a small cooler in my trunk with cold packs for leftovers or any perishables I may pick up along the way.:goodvibes

I bring Progresso light soup with me every day (different varieties) w/saltine crackers. Microwave light popcorn for snack in the afternoon.
