What do you bring home?

Peanut Butter Captain Crunch (DS8 Loves it!) So do I :lovestruc

tylenol PM - great for headaches at bedtime (husbands should never find out about it!) :rotfl:

Spongebob Macaroni

Jockey underwear (much cheaper there)

I don't need much of a reason to pop over to Niagara Falls NY. One time I went over for two hours to buy my son a snowsuit at the OshKosh Outlet $30 US total. The lady at the border agreed I got a great deal and didn't even charge me duty!

Great thread by the way!

haha, what memories!

When I lived up in Niagara, in addition to tripping over to NF, NY for pizza @ Hacienda and Sammys, I would either bring back or have friends bring up everclear ( :earseek: ) , and cookie crisp cereal.

Now, living in the US, I find when I go over to Canada, I usually hit KFC for a Big Crunch (which we sadly dont have here), stop at Pizza Pizza (mmmm garlic dipping sauce) and bring back any of Rickard's Red/Amarca Bavaria/Upper Canada Dark/Sleeman Clear from the Beer Store. :rotfl:

After living, growing up, and drinking in Canada - US beer just doesn't compare. :goodvibes

DH definitely agrees with you! After our trip to Florida every year hubby is very glad to see Tim Horton's and the Beer Store for his Labatt's Crystal!

I like to bring home Lea and Perrins White Wine Worstershire (?) sauce for Chicken. I also love Bushes' Baked beans especially the barbque flavour. Thanks to Photobear Sam, every time I go to Massena, I always buy several cartons of Dole Pineapple-Orange juice ( thanks Sam for getting both me and Katdb started on that addiction!! :teeth: ) But best of all, Bartlets and James Malt Coolers :cool1:
Wenabre

I live with a Cookie Crisp-aholic so I usually bring home a suitcase full of Cookie Crisp cereal. I also bring home a bottle of Downy Wrinkle Release because I haven't seen it yet in Quebec. Of course I always make sure to get a bottle of Exedrin Migraine on every trip.

I love this thread! Hmm... we don't get to the US very often, but when family members do, we always stock up on Good Seasons dressing and American cheese. When my Mom goes, she always gets 2 turkeys. She swears they are juicier than Cdn turkeys. She also loves 5th Avenue bars. Jane mascara is another good find, and I was surprised to see Aveda hair products in drugstores in Florida. I love browsing the grocery and drug stores!

Things I bring back to Sask for friends and relatives:

Western dressing
Heinz ketchup - not as vinegary and sweeter than Canadian
OD Onion and Garlic chips - none in Canada?
Cheezums Pringles - "
Any kind of tea for Mum esp. apple cider

Things I bring back for us that has to last us till the next trip:

Labbetts ? licorice allsorts
butter tarts
good host ice tea mix - lots!!
boxes of Nestle or Lawry choc like willow crisp, macaroons
nibs - the stick kind like twizzlers
areo bars
coffee crisp bars
hickory sticks
popcorn twist - its thinner than US
love hearts candy

This is so pathetic - it's all JUNK FOOD!

When we go to the USA we always but Special K cereal...the flakes are much bigger then the Canadian one, and I think taste better. We also buy ALEIVE, I even have to pick up bottles for co-workers. We usually look for bargins on running shoes in the outlets. I got a pair of Adidas runners for $14.99 once and I could NEVER get them here for that price without them looking like they were 50 years old!

I used to buy Aleive all the time but about 6 months ago there was a warning on the US networks about major health problems associated with it. You may want to google it to find the information.
