I put all of ours in the recycling box, that gets collected on a weekly basis.

My Mum used to keep it all, so long as it wasn't too badly torn & re-use it later on!

Perhaps you use those gift bags too, especially for the awkward shaped pressies! :cat:

Where ever possilbe I re-use it & if it is beyond that then I recycle it.

I used to recycle it. But I think this year I'll let DD use it for arts and crafts.

We reuse as much as we can and then throw the rest in the recyle bin.

There was a running family joke about who would end up with the Lord and Taylor box. :p

same here. I use to save paper and re-use it, but my house is so small, I just ran out of room!!

I would never bother keeping the paper but if the box is in good shape it gets saved. We had a running joke in the family about an aunt of ours...on Christmas she wiuld sit there telling each of us who was opening a gift "be careful, don't rip the paper" and she would take it home....once we got older we would intentionally rip it just to see ol cheapskates face LOL....then it got even worse....she started wrapping the gifts in the Sunday Newspapaper Comics! I don't understand all the trouble to save paper...I just wrapped about 25 gifts with one roll of paper that cost 4.00....big deal LOL.....and if you plan in advnace that 4.00 roll could be gotten for up to 90 percent off after Christmas the year before!! I think I actually paid 1.00 for it....and no way am I goign to go to the trouble of saving used paper to save 1.00!

We toss ours...there is just too much paper flying around on Christmas morning to bother keeping up with it! :p

I do keep rolls from year to year though...Last year I didn't use all I bought, so I kept it in a long drawer we have in the linen closet and I am using it again this year. The only thing I *have* to buy new each year is the paper we wrap the gifts from Santa in. That always has to be freshly bought! :)

Gather it all up and put it in the recycle bin. I don't have enough room to store it to try to re-use it later. :p

With 5 kids 10 and under, it is too hard to keep the papre looking nice in my family. We put it all in a bag and recycle it. As for boxes and bags, we try to re-use them.

I toss everything except bags that are in good shape. I like to use different wrapping paper every year. I have never really understood the concept of saving the paper.

MIL saves ALL bows. Even the cheap ones. So you get a bow with 5 old pieces of tape stuck on the bottom.

We usually throw the paper away (kids demolish it LOL), but I never thought about recycling it. So this year we'll recycle. See how a suggestion most people don't think about can be a step towards saving the world ;) . The bags and boxes we do reuse. I have storage totes FULL of old bags and boxes LOL. But for some reason I keep buying more...oh and I don't save the bows unless they are the really pretty expensive ones.

I throw at the paper, but do keep the nice boxes. We also have a Lord & Taylor box that gets reused alot. I had a Saks box for many years.

I save all the bows - it's pretty easy to take the old tape off! I also save bags and boxes. Everything else gets tossed.

Toss the paper, save the boxes. I swear some of the boxes that get passed back and forth every year have been in my family for as long as I can remember.
