I set my alarm, made FPs, then got a little bit more sleep. You can always just make the high-value ones at 4 am and save the rest for after fully awake!

I work, but am up at 3:45 ready to go @ 4 am. workday or weekend I fall back asleep as soon as I'm done.
Boy was that first year when FP+ opened up at midnight east coast time (9 pm our time) sweet, I loved doing them at 9 pm!

We are in the mountain time zone so we make FP's at 5am and then go back to bed for an hour or two. We also fly out at 6am usually so we are getting up at 3am many times for flights (six people flying out is cheapest at the earliest flight). It's just part of the experience :) We embrace it!

How long will you be there by that point? Getting yourself onto a new timezone isn’t that easy for some. You might still feel like you’re on eastern time and this question might not be relevant.

I am up at 2AM usually on the east coast, so wakeup times mean very little to me. I don't take naps and usually crash around 9-10PM.

I get up, make them and just stay up....Brain is on full awake mode by then.

I woke up 15 minutes beforehand to make the FP+ reservations then went back to bed. Good luck with your FP's!

I usually get up around 4 AM to make the fastpasses. This last time was closer to 4:30 AM (oops, but still got FoP for 2 of our AK days and could have for all 3). And then I just stay up. I start work at 6 AM anyway, so it makes sense to just stay up and get ready for work. I honestly do not see it as that big a deal. Although, like someone above, I loved when they opened midnight est, 9 PM pst as that was easier yet. ADR day at 3 AM, not a huge fan of that, but it is just one day.

I always thought that was another advantage of later park hours. I’m only from Central time, and still preferred late vs early Eastern times.

I have my FP window next month on 12/22 and I'm already dreading that 4:00AM wake up. It's not the waking up so much as I've never even been to WDW and I'm booking fastpasses for a group of 12 for a busy week and have zero experience with MDE. It should be a good time o_O

Wake up, book as quickly as possible and hope to be snoozing again by 4:15 ... worked last weekend like a charm

Not on West coast but fp window still early for me if it’s a weekend. I wake up early & get the must haves & hard to get like FOP & the rest later & go back to sleep.

I got up at 3:30 on my booking day so that I wouldn't have to jump right out of bed and hit the computer. I had already decided in advance that I would play it by ear. If I felt sleepy enough afterward, I would go back to bed. In the end, I just went ahead and started the day since I was already simultaneously stressed and excited by the experience - LOL!

She’s only talking about making FP+ right now. She’s visiting her dad in CA from FL during her FP reservation window. And I’m saying that she might not be on CA time by then. It might not be difficult at all, because she might be waking up 3 hours earlier than her dad.

I'm an extreme night owl. My usual bedtime is 2AM-3AM. I just stayed up an extra hour then went to bed.
