This is our 2nd visit, but really our first since the first time was only for 2 days and we were so unprepared.

We (me, dh, dd, 17, ds, 10) will be there at Pop Century for 6 days in February. I'm trying to figure out what we need to bring, besides the obvious clothes and toiletries. I've heard that I should bring a power strip for electronics, but what else are must haves? :confused3

Thanks!!

We usually pack some snacks, laundry detergent. Do you drink coffee? I'd bring some from home -the coffee at Disney is historically horrible! Can't think of any others right now --sure some others will chime in.

Ziplock bags for your money and phones to keep them from getting wet

Yes.. those also -ziplocs are extremely handy for all sorts of things

Moleskin for blisters, ibuprofen for adults & kids, umbrellas or ponchos and all sorts of chargers for your gadgets...

We spent 8 days at Pop back in October and are headed back for 10 more in April. Here is what we took

Clothes - 4 days per person (washed half way into stay)
2 pair shoes (per person)
Toothbrush holder
Hangers
Lysol Wipes (clean the drawers)
Small Basket (hold shoes)
Really small basket ($ store) to hold razors, toothpaste....(put on bathroom couter)
Window decorations
Bathroom stuff for each person
razor, shaving cream, soap, toothbrush,toothpaste,shampoo,conditioner
medications,lotion

Also, I put each daily outfit per person into a large zip lock bag, that way each morning each of us just grabbed a bag and changed.

There is more little stuff that would be different for different families also so think about what you all do and need daily and go with it.

One more thing to think about......I carry a purse everyday, however in Disney I prefer a fanny pack - Yeah, I know I look like a tourist, however so does EVERYONE ELSE on Disney, so I don't care....Get one before you go to save yourself some money at Disney they are about $20 and at Walmart down the street I paid $8 - Also, fanny pack is easier for me when riding rides. Consider getting them for all females (men won't use them)
Inside my fanny pack -
Money, KTTW card, med's for day (ibuprofen, nausea med)tissue, cell phone
DD asthma med..... You get the point.

I forgot a power cord, and we had plenty of outlets for 2 cell phones, camera, coffee maker and frig.

They have those pullout clotheslines in the tub so I bring clip clothespins to hang up wet bathing suits. Also trash bag for dirty laundry and hanging shoe organizer for toiletries etc so they are not all over the small vanity.

Our list has the power strip-we use for the pc, cameras to charge,
multi outlet for phone charger,4 phones means 4 charging at night,
extra camera/camcorder memory and battery!
Ziploc to put all our cords and such in

The Purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets are great. Lightweight to pack. Use in washer and dryer. Also, we take a liquid hand soap with pump for bathroom sink.

Ditto the hand soap for the sink - especially if anyone wears contacts - for some reason the hand soap/bath soap always made my eyes sting and I never felt that my hands were clean enough:thumbsup2

Also - if you think you might be swimming - and there's room in the suitcase - pack beach towels - there are no towels by the pools and the ones in the room are just not thick enough or big enough IMO......:cool2:

Have a great trip!

Don't think that coffee makers are in value rooms so coffee might not be helpful.

One thing we have done is take a over the door plastic organizer like for shoes etc. We hung it over the bathroom door and put all our stuff in there so it was easy to see and get what we needed. Give each person a row for their personal stuff.

Any Medications and Prescriptions you might need.
Maybe a book or magazine for a little down time.
pool shoes as well as any other pool item. We have never take towel, even at a value and just requested extra for the room but we swim very little.

If I (a coffeeholic) was staying at Pop, the first thing I'd pack would be my little 4 cup coffee maker!!!!
