What do we do about booking our room?

We are having a custom, and we're staying for 2 nights before our wedding, and then probably 4-5 nights after our wedding (depending on which hotel we choose.) I just went to our website to book our room, but I'm not sure what to do about the free night in between. I don't want to book 7/10-7/17-18 because 7/12 is supposed to be free. However, if I make 2 separate reservations (one for 7/10-7/12 and then one for 7/13-7/17-18) we're going to have to switch rooms a million times. How have others handled this?
Thanks :)

I heard of a few ppl who said they switched rooms 2 or 3 times and said it was a little chaotic having to keep packing up and checking in and out. we are staying at the contemporary the entire time and having them comp the free night there. or maybe you could stay at one resort up until after the wedding and have them comp you free room there then switch after the wedding to a different resort that way you are only switching once. good luck! are you still staying at the contemporary? have you heard anything about the rooms being finished renovation by that time? :wizard:

I had the same issue. We are staying at the All Star Movie Resort for the week and using our free night at GF on the last night of our stay. We thought this would make the end of our wedding and honeymoon week a little extra special and I don't have to move a lot.

The last I heard, all the rooms are supposed to be done by the end of this year. However, I haven't heard what they are doing with the North Garden Wing. If they are going to tear it down to make a new DVC then it may still be in limbo when we go and it won't be remodeled. That would totally stink!!

We are also staying at the Contemporary the whole time (I think.) We have the 2 nights before in a garden wing, then move to the tower for our comp night, and then move back to the garden wing for the rest of the time. Seems like a nuisance to have to move all that on our wedding day. Also, we may just stay at Pop Century afterwards since we love it and we could stay twice as long since it costs half the price. However, I was sort of hoping that if they saw we were staying at the Contemp before and after the wedding night they would bump us to the tower for free for all the nights :rotfl: That's a big wish, huh? :rotfl:

Check with your planner first, I'm going by what ours told us in Auguest. If you want to stay at the same hotel and same room all the way through - book your reservation and give it to your planner, they will comp one night off your reservation. If you want to move around you could do the same thing, make your reservations and then just give one ressie number to your planner and they will comp a night.

Thanks! I think that's what we'll do. We'll just make our ressie, and then give the number to our planner to comp the wedding night. I think that will be the easiest way to do it :)
