Ok on yesterday I posted my WDW schedule to see if it would pass, and of course it did not;) ;) It will be my first time at WDW sept 4th-10th with my 2 year old son,his DGF will be joining us on September 6th,Well I have revised it now if you guys would be so gracious to tell me what they think, and for those concerned about my 2yr old,he is a rare breed, not your average 2yr old more like a 7 or 8 yr old his nick name is Dadee, very mature, a true old soul,I think this has something to do with him being born at 28 weeks and 2lbs and once was on death bed,I guess it's hard to explain, but anyways that's another story. Also Guys keep n mind he is not your average 2 yr old,I dont have to deal with tantrums, meltdowns and all that crying and whining, again he is a rare breed!, and he function's well in the heat, hey we stay in Georgia, his Achilles heel is food and drink keep him feed and hydrated and thats it!,To be honest the down time is more for me than him lol.....

You won't need a FastPass for Philharmagic. What you need to do is ride Dumbo FIRST THING and then move onto the Grotto.

You also won't be able to ride Toy Story Mania without waiting at least an hour (maybe 2 or 3 hours) if you don't get to MGM until 6:45. I would switch the MGM and AK parts of your day.

Good luck! :goodvibes

Hope your 2 year old naps on cue, otherwise your schedule is shot.... I would completely avoid a schedule with a 2 year old, other than that I would say it looks great.

We took my 3 year old GS and his naps messed up quite a few ADR's, and if he didn't take a nap he was a beast, so either way was not good.

Ok which ride do you think I will need a fast pass on the 7th? if not the MPM, and the reason that I choose to go to the Grotto first, was because they say that if you want to see Ms.A you need to get there, and also Toy Story Mania is not a must for us if we get it in that's good, but it is not thats ok.Thanks for the input and I will move the Dumbo ride around Also Guys keep n mind he is not your average 2 yr old,I dont have to deal with tantrums, meltdowns and all that crying and whining, again he is a rare breed!, and he function's well in the heat, hey we stay in Georgia. To be honest the down time is more for me than him lol.....

Get a FP for Peter Pan. That one develops a line quickly and seems to move very slowly.

Looks like you've worked hard on this and it looks like a great plan. A couple of observations, you've got a lot of scheduled meals. As they rarely run on time, or at least often run late, don't be surprised if you find yourself having to go to a reserved meal with no hunger. I had the same plan as you and ended up cancelling half of them.

Also, if your plan gets shot, just roll with it. Things will always come up unexpectedly so it's best to have a plan as a guide, not a rule so much.

That being said, hope you have a wonderful time! Wish I was going!

Your 2-yr old son has a girl-friend who's traveling to Florida to join him?

FP- Peter Pan or Winnie the Pooh- Small world line moves very quickly and there is no FP.

Ok- I have to ask- a 2 year old with no crying/meltdowns/tantrums/ whining- what's the secret??

Ok, I say go with a plan, but be flexible, you seem to have a bit of crossing back and forth across the parks and that will be tiring, if not for the awesome 2 yr. old, then for yourself. You also need to take into account crowds and standing in line time. Remember, it should be a guide, but be willing to throw it all out and just go with the flow if that is how the day is going. I never make a park plan, I just pick my park of the day and go which direction we feel like taking and that works great for us, and I have 2 kids who are used to going commando style at theme parks; we have season passes to Busch Gardens. In any case have a great trip!!!

i was wondering about the same thing.

ontopic: fastpass for peter pan,
and i agree with what a previous poster said. having a schedule like that with a child so young has the potential to destroyed

whats the secret:rotfl2: I dont know,it's funny I tell him everyday that my hold preganacy was horrible,I almost died carrying him,he was soooo sick that he had to have Doctors from Canada consult with the Doctors in Augusta about him, he has had so many problems I wouldnt even know where to begin, just got the ok from his ENT doctor that he no longer needs to have surgery:yay: his cardiologist said no restrictions at WDW except for height requirements:lmao: That is why we are comming to WDW for the first time,we are celebrating our life,he is totally healed:cheer2: Not only that he will be tested next year to see if he is gifted,he knows all his colors, numbers, shapes like octagon, pentagon, and trapazoid the crazy shapes,he knows all his animals like arrmadillo,puffin,gazelle,etc...so the secret is, all the meltdowns, crying, tantrums, we dealt with a long time ago via his illness,so now it it is a true walk in the park;)

I like your new plan, less park hopping and more time to relax.

I agree about doing Dumbo first, then Ariel.

Have a great time.

your new plan looks much more workable. The only thing I would say is do you really have to do Ariel's grotto? The character meet & greets can take way more time than you'd expect: I don't think they are worth the park time. And all you get is a picture, and usually you're hurried through that, and what a waste especially if your child gets shy all of a sudden (which kids do, even when they say they want to see the character. The thought & the reality can be way different to a little kid.) Then you've spent 30-45 minutes in a hot line for nothing. When our kids were little, we had a much better time with the character meals. The kids got used to seeing the characters across the restaurant, by the time they worked their way to our area, the kids were ready for them. Plus they do cute interactive stuff with the kids like little parade-marches around the restaurant or little dances. You might want to just cancel the idea of park meet & greets and use that time to do the rides in Fantasyland.

Frontierland is a great place to watch Spectromagic from, crowded, but not nearly as much as Main Street & hub areas. Also, that first night, if Aladdin ride is too crowded after watching Spectro, try the Pirates ride (it's right there in same area.) It handles large crowds much more quickly and most little guys really like it.

And what a wonderful thing to celebrate (and the perfect place to do it, too!) And hey, we will be there Sept 4 & 5th too...celebrating my birthday on the 5th.

I'm pretty sure the Grotto doesn't open until 30 minutes after the park opens, so you should be fine to ride Dumbo before the Grotto. You probably could do Pooh or something as well.

On Fri I'm not sure that the Land or Honey I shrunk the Audiance will be open even with EMH after 7pm.

Glad your son is well. Honestly, I think your plan is fine BUT I found after our first and even second, more relaxed, trip I had wished I had not planned so much. Like others have said, you may just want to go with the flow. I would pick one thing at each park that you guys want to do, do that first, and then just play it by ear. Much less stressful this way!

Thanks, I worked on it last night and I am going to use this as a guideline, and whatever we dont get to do, then we will do next trip, just another reason to come back or bounce back,I do thank all of you guys for your help and condolences for my son. I did have to change some of my ressies which was no problem, but I hate I am going to miss Planet Hollywood,I may eat at the Planet on Sept 4th instead of Wolfgang Express,Well if I dont see you at WDW, I wish you Happy Birthday:bday: full of Love,Peace and Great Blessings!:cake:
