If you are going to have a Disney wedding, I don't recommend getting a standard Wedding planning book...there's a lot of stuff in there that we just don't need. I am using a five subject notebook with folders in it to keep all my odds and ends in.
Here's how my process went. I called DFTW and Doreen Diehl called me back, she answered a bunch of questions, said they didn't have 2008 prices yet, but she penciled me in for my date. BTW you can't officially book most ceremonies until 12 months out, but CALL at 8:00 AM on 12 months out, cause I didn't get the time slot I really wanted, cause I waited a few hours...that's what having to work for a living will do I guess!
Anyways, about a month ago, Doreen called me said they had the 2008 prices out, and then she emailed me the contract. It was 11 pages I think basically Disney covering their behinds (understandably, these days). We signed it, my dad filled out a credit card Authorization form, and we faxed it and mailed it back to Doreen. I faxed it because we wanted to get the Annual Passes (added to 2008 Intimate Weddings) for our trip last week, and save ourselves that money (kinda). Anyways, while we were at Disney, Tanis Armstrong called to introduce herself as our Coordinator and congratulate us. She emailed us a 20 page packet, with all the options for floral, cake, list of officiants, cosmetology, etc. We have to fill out the important pages and send it back by December --th for our March 18, 2008 wedding.
Anyways, I hope this helps, but Relax for sure! June is a busy time around there, everyone wants to get married in June...All I know is it was stinkin hot there last week, and that was only the first week of June, not even officially summer yet! Part of the reason I chose a March wedding - hopefully it'll be beautiful!
Good Luck and Congratulations!
