What do I need to take to DC?

I know the provide sunscreen and swim gear and lunch but what else should I pack? Do they provide towels too? Do we need water shoes or are flip flops good enough?

They do provide towels...plenty of fresh towels are available in all bathrooms. DD and I wore water shoes and they worked very well, especially on the hot walkways and on the concrete bottoms of the lazy river. I don't see why you couldn't use flip-flops on the walkways, though.

The water mesh shoes that are sold at Walmart/Target are good for the coral reef lagoon area. They protect your feet while you swim, keep them cool from the hot walkways, and they're only a few bucks.
While you are there, pick up an underwater disposable camera to take pictures.
