What do I need to know about a Stay, Park, Fly program?

Will my car be placed in a long term lot off-site from the hotel? Will I need to leave my car key? Will we be able to easily access our car the morning before we leave?

We also stay at the Hilton Logan using their Park'N Fly option. We leave our car right in the Hilton Lot and we KEEP our keys. Hilton shuttles back and forth to the Terminal...EASY :thumbsup2

Call the Hotel you will be using and inquire about their Park'N Fly options. We always fly out of Logan very early and living an hour from the Airport...staying over the night before is awesome not to mention leaving the car in their lot and they shuttle us over at usually a very early hour 5AM or 6AM!!! :goodvibes

We have used Park, Stay and Fly programs a few different times in 2 different airports. When we have flown out of Providence we stayed at a Comfort Inn, left the car in their lot and kept our keys. Last October we flew from Hartford, stayed at a Baymont Inn and were originally told the car would stay in their lot. The morning of our flight we were told we needed to move the cars to a nearby off-site parking lot and leave our keys with them. Unfortunately, while we were gone my niece's car was stolen from. We were never able to get any satisfaction from the parking lot or the hotel. Just our experiences.

Near BWI - We have used The Country Inn and have never had any problems. We have not had to leave the keys. The shuttle was prompt and clean - in fact, the last time we did this, we rode to the airport with a flight attendant.

We have had wonderful experiences at the Crowne Plaze near MSP. They have you park in a designated area of their lot and we get to keep our keys. Shuttles are great and we get to start our vacation a day early!

I am trying a Park and Fly lot off MSP in a few weeks, so we will see how that one goes. My dad and I will get up and leave my house around 430am to drive down there....

Thanks for the replies. It is a relief to know that we will probably keep our keys. It is actually cheaper for us to do the stay, park, fly program than it is for us to park our car for two weeks at the airport - even in a remote lot. That and the fact that we are an hour from the airport with a 7:30 a.m. flight...

We are always in a similar situation to you. Last trip was 11 days and off site parking would have cost us around $90-100 near MSP. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for $84 + tax and had a wonderful time. Took the 4:30am shuttle to the terminal and we were off to Florida! We wouldn't do it any other way when traveling with kids and with such an early flight....

Has anyone done this in Pittsburgh? We are hoping to take an early flight and this would be much easier.

DH and I have stayed at the Microtel near BWI and used the park and fly 3 times with great success. We were able to park anywhere in their lot, except the parking area closest to the hotel. We have also done this at the Hampton Inn near the Newark airport. Not my favorite airport, but the hotel was nice.
