We leave in 6 days and, though it is a little bit away, I will be working all week and want to get as much done as possible before Monday.

SO..... what do I need to bring that I may otherwise forget? ALL advice accepted and appreciated. It'll reduce my stress level! :teeth:

My advice is to start a list & carry it around with you. Things will probably pop into your head & you'll want to write them down before they float away. ;) Have a great time! :thumbsup2

About a week ahead I put a suitcase out and start putting things in it as I think of them... I just stop whatever I'm doing and take a minute to drop it in. Then when I'm ready to really pack everything is there.

Things I've forgotten or wished I had are:
prescription RX -- it's especially easy for me to forget the ones that aren't used everyday, like allergy med
bandaids
Tums
cough drops
extra ziplock bags
extra toothbrushes (DH & I once used the same one for several days of our vacation both thinking the other one was his/hers. YUCK!! When we figured it out we had to buy a new ones... neither of us wanted it or the other one we weren't sure about.)
plastic spoons (for meds or leftovers)
swimsuit!!
underwear
Yep, had to buy all new.
curling iron
hair gel or mousse
ID :rolleyes1

Things I never do Disney without:
fanny pack
disposable rain poncho
2 pair of very comfortable shoes to alternate days
list of ADR's & confirmation #'s
photo copy of both sides of Disney tickets
chapstick or lip balm
Poptarts or granola bars
(for the inevitable Mom I'm hungry when you've finally gotten to your room, or aren't ready to leave yet)

That's all that comes to mind now... Won't it be great once you're on the plane and can just sigh and relax... until that day, hang in there!
Have a wonderful trip! Rella :wave2:

:rotfl: DH & I recently did this when we went to Atlantic City a few weeks ago!!! It was only for 2 days, but we threw it out too!

Find one of those ultimate packing lists. There are several around if you do a search. Place everything you will not need for the rest of the week in one spot. (A guest bedroom or such.) Then it will be ready to go. Carrying around a “to-do list” is also a good idea. Another is to make a list of what to do each night to prepare to pack.

I leave Friday, but must work all week as well. And, getting to leave for vacation is going to mean increased hours at work. I can’t really pack until Thursday as a lot of what I take I need during the week. However, I ran errands today to purchase everything needed for the trip. I’ll pack swim stuff and snacks tomorrow. I’ll do laundry Monday and Tuesday after work. Wednesday I’ll get clothes out to pack. Just having a plan of attack keeps my stress down.

And not to worry, everything will get done and you’ll have a magical trip!

Redwitch...we go on the same day... Where are you staying? We are at ASMu... Thanks for the tip about the ultimate packing list. I'll look now!

An extra set of camera batteries! Those babies are expensive enough here at home but even more so in the parks.

Ziplocks are an awesome item to have on hand.

Hey we leave on Friday a.m. as well! This weekend I've basically finished packing all of our bags except for make up/brush for me. And some meds.

I'm making sure to clean up the house just so I don't have to come home to a messy one!

Make a list as you go, don't forget extra socks, if staying at a Value, bring beach towels of your own for the pool. Sunblock. Extra undies. Tylenol, bengay...batteries.
We also made copies of all of our ressie information to carryon with us just in case.

Hope you get it all done and have fun once you get on the plane and can relax!

:Pinkbounc 5 days and counting!!

up at 2:30AM on Friday - YEAH - no really - YEAHHHH - for our 6:30am flight from Calgary. I have been trying to pack this weekend, luckily this Friday was a day off for me, today was DS12 (as of today) birthday.Did spend the last couple of days packing ziploc outfits for both kids - DS12, DD9 and I do truly believe the time spent will be time worth spent. Any more tips are so welcome :thumbsup2

Sounds like lots of us are leaving at the same time. We drive to Seattle on the 29th and then fly to WDW on Sat!! Unfortunately our flight times have changed and now we don't land until 9pm! :sad2:

I got travellers cheques today. Tomorrow I will photocopy all my documents. I have my meds packed. Usually I forget my makeup. Just remember...

money, passport, tickets...money, passport, tickets...money...

Something to use in your ears after swimmng and the water parks. I was a nervous wreck that we would end up with water in our ears, whih would lead to an ear infection. Luckily it didn't.

I normally just use peroxide or alcohol at home.

Emergency contact details given to someone at home
Flight details and holiday details to someone at home so they get really jealous!!!
Credit Card!

These are great suggestions...keep 'em coming!! :thumbsup2

From years of seeing the mouse, we most always have a reservation in the works every year, over 38 visits since 1977, I compile a list on paper, I know the length of our stays, go over it in my head and jot clothing items on paper along with essentials, toiletries. I save these lists, even print them out now in the computer age, and add things or subtract things as time passes. Month before a trip, I lay out my items, as per list, look at it, revise it and try to keep packing to a science and to me less is better. I got to lug that bag around and hate coming home with a bunch of stuff not used or wore. Wife is of the same mind now too. WE go over each others lists to not duplicate stupid items, toothpaste etc. nad our trips over the many years have gotten easier since baggage has gotten pared down, also, we never do laundry, its a vacation for her as well, and never had a bad trip or forgotten anything

I read these posts and see if any new ideas come up that would add to my traveling stuff or something that would make our trip easier or add fun and redo our list accordingly. We have never hauled bottled water with us, have no problem with Florida water but do have a list for a grocery stop for goodies we enjoy while in the World. Anymore, its a science for us, only varitable on on trips is length of stay.
