It must be an aging thng - I can't remember what everyone brings with them (or buys) for the 1 bedroom besides coffee, filters, soap, Can you direct me to the thread that has as a list? tHANKS!

If you plan to do any cooking, I'd bring along my favorite kitchen knife (or two). Most of the knives that are provided don't seem very sharp. Be sure to pack the knives in your CHECKED LUGGAGE and NOT your carry-on when flying.

Salt and Pepper, napkins if you don't want to use paper towels, PAM if you are going to do some cooking, especially on that skillet they have. If you are driving, bring a non stick skillet so you don't have to mess with their skillet. I bring along those dye magnet things for the wash, so I don't have to separate the clothes for the trip.

Have a great trip!

They're be on the plane before us!!!! As a matter of fact, they have all their stuff packed & we still have 5 days to go!@@@

I bring a Spice-O-Matic with me. The Kenyon Multi-Spice II is very similar. It's round with 6 compartments that hold different spices (Basil, Celery Salt, Oregano, Lemon Pepper, Parsley, Onion Powder).

I actually have one with Italian Seasonings from Harry and David's, but I can't find it on their web site. I bought it from their outlet store last year.

Zip-top bags in various sizes and TONS of snack foods. I can't live without my zip-bags. I take snacks in them and also bring a fresh washcloth in one every time we go to a park. You can use the big ones to take an extra outfit for the kids or to contain an outfit that has been ruined (by the chocolate coating on a Mickey-head ice cream bar, for example!)

I also pack paper cups and tiny paper plates. We use these a lot instead of the real dishes. And I ALWAYS pack my white-noise machine. I set the ocean sound to high and if the world ends outside my door I won't hear it!

Extra hangers are good, too. I get the 12-pack cheapos at Walmart.

4” round coffee filters, tea bags, juice mix (crystal lite). We fill a small suitcase with snacks, which we use for souvenirs on the trip home. We generally pack pb&j, crackers, M&Ms, and other non perishables to minimize cost and visits to the local grocery.

Oh, I'll be asking this question in a few months! lol I better keep it listed in my favorites!

I didn't see you list sugar and cream for your coffee (that is, if you use it for your coffee!)

I also like to bring several feet of aluminum foil (for covering the casserole dish and whatnots) I have purchased a small roll in the past and ended up either leaving the bulk of it there, or bringing it home and having the package smashed in the suitcase. Now I just tear off about 5 feet, fold it carefully, and slide it into a side pocket in my suitcase (well, one of our many suitcases!).

How about for staying in a studio? How much coffee will we get? Are the machines smaller 4cup? Thoughts . Thanks!

Dishwasher soap tablets. We cook a lot, and we run out of what they leave for us.

You will get enough coffee (in a coffee/filter combination pack) to make one pot of regular coffee and one pot of decaf. The coffee gets replenished with Trash & Towel service and with a full cleaning. If you drink more than that (or are at all particular about the taste of your coffee), it's best to bring your own.

If your studio has one of the smaller coffee makers, you can call housekeeping to request one of the larger ones.

I always like to bring a fitted sheet to use on the beds. King sized for 1/2 bedrooms (assuming I"m in the master bedroom, of course) and queen sized for studios.

I'm a restless sleeper, and always end up sleeping on the bare mattress if I don't bring a fitted sheet (Disney. like the majority of motels, uses flat sheets as their bottom sheet - my moving around at night always disturbs it).

I always bring a box of the 3 oz. bathroom cups. DVC or a regular hotel room, they really come in handy. I also bring a couple bars of soap or body wash. I hate wasting those precious Mickey soaps. I like to bring them home to give to nieces and nephews.
