What do I do?

I have an ADR for Yak & Yeti the first week in January 09. They are however not listed in the 2009 DxDD Plan. Although they were in the 2008 plan. Someone said recently that some resteraunts will not be addded to the 09 plan until late December. I'm thinking if I wait and see if they are added and thier not, it may be too late to get a ressie for another place at Animal Kingdom. Is there even another place to malke a ressie at AK? We are having breakfast at Tusker House. What do I do?

Do I wait it out and hope for the best?

Do I make another ressie now for someplace else instead?

Do I just eat at a CS? Is Yak & Yeti CS any good?

Help Please. This is the only ressie that may be trouble for me and my family.

Non-Disney owned restaurants can take longer to get listed for the dining plan due to contract negotiations and the like. If Y&Y was on the plan in 2008, it will most likely be on again in 2009. Just may take a little longer to get on the list.

We are in the same boat, but I am feeling confident that last year and the year before many restaurants were not added until December, so I think it is part of the contract negotiations. If you really want to eat there, your best bet is to wait to see what happens. If for some reason they do not get added, you can try switching later. By the time Dec. comes around, folks that wanted to go to WDW in Jan. but cant for whatever reason will begin to cancel and their ADRs will open up for us. The worst that can happen is that we have to wing it, or we pay OOP. It's all good! Here's some pixie dust for those contract negotiators!

I'd stick it out.....like others have said, the non-DIsney owned are late being added every year. Off the top of my head I can't recall any that were on the list in 2007 and taken off for 2008.

If Yak & Yeti don't get added for some reason, Tusker House for dinner is completely different from breakfast, so don't discount them just because you're having breakfast there already.

If you're willing to go over to Animal Kingdom Lodge there is Boma for dinner. There is also Jiko, but that's 2 TS credits.

Also remember that AK tends to close at 5 or 6pm, so if you can't do Yak & Yeti, perhaps a later dinner at a resort nearby would be a good alternative without taking away time from touring AK.
