Hello! My fiancee and I are getting married May 18th, 2002 and are going on the Disney Wonder May 19th. We can't wait, but I am just wondering about peoples opinions about this cruise for a honeymoon. Does anyone know if there are a fair amount of honeymooners and specific events for honeymooners? Any info. would be greatly appeciated!!

...but I wanted to wish the best of luck to you, anyway! Happy Honeymooning:)

Well I think it is a great idea for a honeymoon because .......... I am also going on a Disney cruise for my honeymoon :)

My cruise was a wedding present from my future inlaws so I really didn't have time to debate whether or not to take a Disney cruise for my honeymoon. They offered - we said yes - and that was that :) They got us the land/sea package and we are staying in the Polynesian and then in a category 6 cabin. I have never even been on a cruise before and am thrilled with the whole idea of having a verandah.

My impression from reading these boards is that Disney cruises are very popular among honeymooners. I suspect there will be several honeymooners on your cruise but I don't think that there are any specific activities for honeymooners.

I've read here to make sure the staff knows it your honeymoon....that they go out of their way to make it extra special. Make sure it is noted on your reservation and hopefully your dining table mates will be honeymooners also. Get reservations at Palo for a special night alone.

Thanks for the tips, everyone - i will definitely check with my travel agent to make sure they know we are honeymooners. We can't wait!

There were so many people on their honeymoon, and we were treated like royalty!! :D There are lots of quiet, adult romantic areas on the ship, the staff left little gifts in our room like honeymoon pins and swan towels, chocolates, etc!!! During our first dinner (at Tritons) they sang "Happy Honeymoon" and brought us a cake :bounce: We can't wait to go again!!! We also loved snorkeling at Castaway Cay and it was very romantic !

FYI - Do one of the excursion packages at Nassau - we didn't and regreted it because you have to find your own way around and some of the locals are very pushy.

Also Bring bug spray for the beach, especially Castaway Cay...have fun!!! :Pinkbounc

We did the four day cruise then WL for our honeymoon, and I cant think of a better way to do it. Good advice to let them know ahead of time its your honeymoon, you get soem gifts, bottle of Champagne waiting for you in your cabin, treated like royalty. We just went on the seven day and when we made our ressies the booking agent noticed it was around the same time as our honeymoon cruise and asked if it was a second honeymoon, to which we replied yes! We got all the perks of a honeymoon all over again!!! We even sat at dinner with another couple who got married at Disney the day before we got married two years ago! Lots of honeymooners, and lots of Adult only places and activities too.

We also did the 4 day Wonder for part of our honeymoon last year, and honestly - we were definitely treated well, and it was the perfect way to relax after our crazy wedding the day before. I'd rather have done it that way, then go right to the parks to run around... this way we were able to rest on the boat, and get ready for 6 days in the parks! You will definitely enjoy it!! One tip! Eat at Palo's. We ate there the first night, and once our waitress found out we were honeymooners, she brought over a plate that said "happy honeymoon" written in chocolate drizzle, and she brought us about 3 other desserts that we didn't ask for. :) It was a night to remember!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and have a blast on your honeymoon! :) I know you will, b/c you're doing it Disney-Style :)
