What do HHN and a lumber yard have in common?

I just got back from my second trip to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and for the most part everything was better, more houses, more scare zones and two amazing shows. Just one note that Universal may want to take into consideration for next year. Chainsaws!!!! They were everywhere this year in the scare zones, the whole park sounded and smelled like a lumberyard. Has anyone else felt that maybe there were far to many scareactors with chainsaws? One here and there is scary, one every five feet is just annoying.

::yes::

We thought that too.......far too many and didn't look right with clowns and random characters having them.......at least the chainsaw gang had a consistent theme.......and yes the smell at times was a bit overpowering......

I did give that as feedback on several surveys I've had since then.

I know they'd received feedback in recent years that people missed the chainsaws/chainsaw drill team, so I think this might have been a response to those comments. However, I think they went too far and had too many chainsaws. Rumor has it they even wanted Lady Luck in the Icons SZ to have one. Fortunately, someone realized that it really didn't fit her character so she escaped the chainsaw madness.

I agree that they need to scale back the chainsaws a bit. I never got annoyed, and in fact got a lot of belly laughs from seeing others get startled, but overall it was a little too much.
