What do all these high school words mean?

This probably sounds really stupid but when i was reading some of your posts I saw words like freshman and sophomore. I was just wondering what this means because we dont have this in the UK?

I'm not a teen, but I'll answer for ya

Freshman = 9th Grade
Sophomore = 10th Grade
Junior = 11th Grade
Senior = 12th Grade

My DD will be a Freshman this year.

Im 16 so which grade would i be in?

You'll have a great time at halloween by the way. We went last October to MNSSHP. It was the BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends. The following applies if you've passed every grade: If you just recently turned 16, you'll be a sophomore (10th grade). If you have been 16 for a while, you'll be junior (11th grade).

im my area everyone who is going into 10th grade is 15 or 14 it depends on your b-day. Since you are 16 I would think you would be going into 11th grade.
