What Disneyland books do you read before you leave?

I have tons of books on WDW but none on DLR. In the past I have read Birnbaum, Unofficial Guide, and Passporter. Anyone know which of these or any others would have the best stuff on new attractions such as Cars Land? Which do you like best, for excitement or planning help or just anything?

It's not really for planning but more for fun. It lists literally EVERYTHING that Disneyland has ever had...shops, rides, food....you name it, it's in here. And for this DLR vet, I've learned SO much....it's pretty cool.

My favourite is the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland. I bought one for our upcoming trip as a quick reference for restaurants, etc.... The current issue has a brief overview of Carsland but it was written before Carsland opened. The best info and most up to date is from the DIS board.

Thanks so much for your replies. I've been reading the Dis thread for WDW vets, bought the Disneyland Encyclopedia, and a new Unofficial Guide is supposed to be out in September so I'll get that. Yay! I'm too excited.
