what didnt you do 1st cruise that you'll be sure you do on 2nd cruise?

we didn't make it to the tropical deck party, or the adults beach at CC. These are 2 things we are DEFINITELY going to remedy on our next cruise. The deck party was the night of our anniversary, and we were celebrating elsewhere....and the things that we did at CC did not allow us to get to Serenity Bay. Better scheduling next time will fix that...I intend to parasail first thing, then banana boat, then head over. Our activities were scattered too much throughout the day....parasailing at 11, so by the time we got over there we would have had to turn back, and banana boating not long after lunch. No time after that...again, we would have had to turn right around and head back to the ship. Definitely make it there next time.

If you fell in love with snorkeling at CC like we did, you are going to astonished at the snorkeling in St. Johns, Key West and Grand Cayman (took a break and didn't snorkel in Cozumel - but it's supposed to be terrific there too). The water is warmer in these locations too (especially during the winter months). Then going back and snorkeling at CC just isn't the same as the other places.

DCL is trying to create a reef environment at CC but there are many, many challenges to be faced. I think that it is interesting and very good that Disney is working with Sea World on this project (considering Disney doen't do anything with anyone they consider a competitor).

I think that over time it will get much better as their artificial reefs grow, and if people will keep their hands and equipment off of the stuff they placed around to encourage fish to come and live there.

IMO, snorkeling at Grand Cayman is the best I've seen in a long time.

jlwall I would have to agree that the barrier reef in Grand Cayman is amazing, a HUGE ray swam right under my son and myself (of course DS then almost drown me as he paniced and grabbed me it must have been a manta as the wingspan was at least six feet, it was huge and went right under our bellies)
I do think though that St. John had more colorfull schools of fish, I did not see many schools in the caymans, it was neat to have them envelope you.........At any rate snorkling is a MUST on either the eastern or western!

On cruise #2 my number one priority is being on deck during the sail-away ( I was unpacking).

Book Brunch at Palo's - not dinner (I am probably the only person not impressed with the menu)

Book the rainforest.

Go parasailing.

Walk in the moonlight, watch the sun rise and set.

We didn't do Palo or Spa on first cruise. So for Cruise #2 & #3...

ºOº For something new on our 2nd -- Surial and Spa Taster Cabana on CC and loved them! ºOº

ºOº We've never done Palo on 1 or 2 so we will try this on our upcoming #3 in December. We plan to also try one new Spa treatment each. I might do one of the body wraps and DH wants a massage again. ºOº

Palo's servers were not as good as Sompong & Joel but it was nice to be on the top deck looking out while the sky was lightning over the sea. The food was heavier (more fattening) than in the main dining room. It was a nice experience but not as good as I expected.....

We just returned from our 2nd Cruise on the Magic! This time around we CHECKED IN EARLIER!!!! This way we got a chance to tour the spa, actually read our Personal Navigators, etc.

We also opted to NOT do Palo this time, because on DCL, you bond with your excellent servers and don't want to miss a single meal with them!

Lastly, we did NOT buy the soda package this time. There was no need to carry around those mugs when fruit punch, iced tea, lemonade, and water are always available. The money we saved on soda, we splurged on special drinks at Sailaway celebrations, etc. :)

Is the wine tasting class offered on the Wonder? Or just the Magic?

Thanks!
