What did your street look like when you first moved in?

Before it was just one street now an extra street

a couple less houses, but they have been completed for a couple of years now.
And trees, plants are a lot bigger now

It was half empty. A bunch of vacant lots.

Mostly the same. There used to be more woods on one side of us but the township bought some of the land and built their garage. We fortunately were able to buy a small plot of land so we have some privacy from them. On the other side of us there was a small church which was fine. It was always quiet except for Sunday mornings. Then they sold the church and now it is a dance/acro/cheer studio. Thankfully the parking lot and entrance are on the opposite side of the building so we have privacy. Plus we have a row of giant blue spruces between us.

We had a large vacant lot down the street that now is full of houses. The houses next to and in front of me have been torn down and rebuilt I to bigger homes.

It looks exactly the same except the people across the street painted their house a few years ago.

Kind of a dull, gray cement.

Hidden street that you had to zig and zag to get to. 19 houses.
They extended the street to the west two years after we moved in, and built 21 additional houses.
They turned the dead end at the east 25 years after we moved in, and turned it into a cul de sac with 4 additional houses.

The same as it goes today. Older neighborhood that we moved to a year ago.

Empty except for us. We built a house in a neighborhood expansion in 2005; all the other lots had been purchased. Then came the recession, and everyone else backed out except us and one other family on a different street. (I didn't even know backing out was an option.) We had no neighbors and no sidewalks for years. They finally built a house on the final lot last year. I felt bad for my daughter who was four when we moved and didn't have sidewalks or neighbor kids as she went through elementary school.
