What did you want to be (occupation) when you grew up? (Inspired by CBRorBust's post)

When I was little I always wanted to be an Air Hostess (Cabin Crew) or a Nurse! :)

How about you?

teacher (who didn't; that's all we knew!), vet (again, who didn't?), hotel owner or manager

in my teens & early college i wanted to be an architect and/or theatrical set designer

When I was little, I wanted to be a vet. When I was in middle to high school and quite a few years after high school (sheesh...only graduated in 96), I wanted to be a marine biologist.

Sadly, I'm neither. I'm the manager of a comic book store. Dare to dream.

I wanted to be a singer in a rock group. Or one of the Solid Gold dancers.

I wanted to be a psychologist.

Then when I got older I realized that meant me having to listen to people talk about their problems all day long, and I don't think I would have the will to keep my personal opinions in my head. ;)

So instead I went with my gut and decided to be poor the rest of my life and become a teacher. :p

OK so I am dating myself here.....I think when I was little I wanted to be a teacher like the nice teacher I had in first grade. Then as I got older I wanted to be a secretary like my Grammy who worked at City Hall, I loved all the scraps of stuff she used to bring home eg extra paper and cool pencils and stuff. After talking with Grammy a lot I decided I wanted to be a doctor a gynecologist, I have no idea why. Then when I got really old-30's, lol, I wanted to work with the elderly. I turned out to be a Clinical Social Worker who works with trauma survivors. Go figure.

I wanted to be a teacher.

But when I was younger there was this craft show at the mall and they had a person who took your thumb print and you told them what you wanted to be when you grew up and they kinda drew around the thumb print...I wanted to be a cashier and a bride:D I worked at Macy's and used the cash register for a year and then got married, so I can say I have achieved my goals;)

I wanted to be a physical therapist since I was about 14 years old. At the time, I thought it would be so cool to help people walk again after illness or injuries.
I have been a physical therapist for about 1 year now and I love what I do and I can't picture myself doing anything else-it was my "calling":D

Always, always, wanted to be a hairdresser. Almost was too, until I found out that to be guaranteed a job, I'd either have to have my own business or know someone who has that would take me on.:(

I wanted to be the first female President of the United States. Second choice was an actress - which I guess can be kind of the same thing in some situations.

Grow Up?... NOOOOooooo. I am never never going to grow up. "I'm growing older but not up" (Jimmy Buffett).:teeth:

I wanted to be a teacher or a professional musician. I got a graduate degree in music and then trained to be a teacher which is what I do now.

An architect. I loved looking at floor plans for houses.

Artist, stewardess or world champion figure skater. Grew too tall for the latter two, so I settled on the former. :)
