We'll be at WDW during the FRIDAY-10/27, Monday-10/30 and HALLOWEEN NIGHT Tuesday-10/31, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties.

Want to attend one, and trying to figure out which date will be less crowded. :crowded: Here are the situations affecting crowds, that I'm aware of:

1. Locals go to Friday night events, so 10/27 might be really bad. (We went to the 1st MNSSHP last year on a FRIDAY night during the free dining promo and it was so packed we couldn't believe it!!!)

2. Depending on when the Orlando area has their door to door trick-or-treating, Monday OR Tuesday could be more crowded. Anyone know if they do trick-or-treating on actual Halloween or the night before?

Anyone have personal experience to share? If so, for one of the past years last 3 parties, what would you compare the crowd levels to? Any input greatly appreciated!!!

We went back in 2000 on Oct 30th. I do not remember it being very crowded. We liked it so much we tried to get tickets for Halloween night but they were sodl out.

This year we are trying Halloween Night. What better place to spend Halloween then at Disney!

We've been to MNSSHP for the last 5 years. Out of the three nights that you have available to you, I would choose Monday. Halloween night always sells out. Weekdays are always less crowded and I think even though it's the night before Halloween, Monday will still be the least crowded.

I hope you decide to go, you will have a blast!! :hmghost:

Thanks for the replies!!! Anyone know when the greater Orlando area does door-to-door trick-or-treating?

We went last year the night before Halloween and it was great, since they limit the tickets!

Have a great time!

I've been to parties on peak nights (sold out 10/31) and on "less crowded" nights. In all honesty, I don't see much difference between the two. On both, parts of the parks are packed, while others are empty.

We were there Halloween night 2002 and I didn't think the crowds were bad at all. Of course my kids were 3 and 6 so we weren't waiting in line for any of the big rides. We will be there again Halloween night this year. Can't wait!

Of the dates you have listed, Monday will likely be the less crowded day, but this close to Halloween, it's likely to be busy. We have been to this party 3 times in the last 5 years. Arrive at 4, eat an early dinner, rule Tomorrowland from 6-7PM, and then hit your favorite rides. Enjoy! :sunny:

We went last Halloween. This was my first ever "after hours" party (at least at Disney ;) ) and I didn't think it was too crowded at all. A CM told me that they sell to 1/3 of parks capacity (about 30,000).

We walked on many rides (especially later in the night) and did Buzz 3 times in a row around 10:30 pm.

We had a ball and are looking forward to MVMCP this year!!

I take then that MNSSHP is usually held on Halloween night? I am planning my Oct 2007 trip, and wanted to do MK on Halloween night...you know..You got to do the HM on Halloween night! :teeth: . That being said what would be the earliest I could reserve for that night if I decide to do the MNSSHP on that night. I may still change my mind and do the Party on a diff night, and just go to MK for the sole purpuse of riding HM..a few times

This year and last year MNSSHP tickets went on sale the end of April.

Yes, it's always held on Halloween night (plus others throughout Oct/Sept).

I've gone to the party Halloween night twice and on Oct 2 last year.

Although Halloween night is always sold out we always have a great time. Depending on where you hang out it could be crowded or dead. We focused on the trick or treating and fireworks and parade. We usually fit in a couple of rides as well. The trick or treat lines seem long but move VERY fast.

Oct 2 was great. We did everything we wanted to. I didn't see that much of a difference between it and Halloween night but YMMV.

It's not always tomorrow land that is open from 6 - 7. Last year we were put in adventure/frontier land.
