And I'm not talking about headache tablets that weren't used!!

Perhaps multiple sweaters in summer for "just in case"? Different messenger/tote bags because you just couldn't make up your mind? Swimmers in the midde of a cold winter? Your favourite bubble baths but you never got the time? A laptop that was never turned on? Lots of novels in case you got time to relax? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

as it happened...really summery clothes! The temperatures took a dive whilst we were there, from round 100 to around 60.

I always over pack. The one item that I really need to work on is SHOES. I usually only wear a pair of tennis shoes and 1 pair of crocs. For whatever reason, I tend to pack more shoes than days we will be there.....

Usually it is a lot of the warmer clothes. Sweatshirts, jackets ect... I think I bring more just in case they get something spilled on them. But I find I usually only really need one or two. Of course that depends on the time of year you're going!

I packed too many shoes for dd and too many clothes in general for ds, you just never know what you will have too much of, I tend to be a major overpacker but did pretty good this trip. I also brought too many things for me to do, like magazines, cross stitching, ect.

I always pack snacks thinking if we have downtime in the room and the kids get hungry I want to have something on hand....

But we seldom EVERY have downtime in the room, and they are so stuffed from food from the parks popcorn:: that they aren't hungry.

I am bad with clothing especially on my first trip to Cali not realizing how cold it can get in the evenings. I over packed on very summer clothes and had to rush out and get a longer sleeved disney hoodie to wear in the evenings because the jackets I brought were way too heavy.

I think the best route for clothing is to figure out what is summery for during the day and carry a light jacket in a backpack or store it in the locker, and then go back to the hotel in the evening and change into some longer pants.

As for things I didnt need, I brought things like Sudoku and several novels, and about 3 extra pairs of shoes I never wore.

Yeah, snacks! We bought a Costco sized box of Clif bars, and I think we ate maybe 4 while we were there. :rotfl:

tooth paste, we stayed in two off site hotels at DL both had Welcome Packs with tooth paste. I brought my tooth paste, Dd brought hers and we got 2 more.

We came home with 4 tooth paste brands and tubes??

Didn't use our lap top, eat the snacks we brought, or use half the toys/distractions we brought the kids.

Jeans. I brought 2 pair last year and never wore them. :confused3

Oh another thing for me is that we had WAY WAY WAY too much suntan lotion. We all brought a bottle and also some shampoo and conditioner. Our bathroom was overloaded with about 4 bottles of shampoo, 2 conditioners and 3 bottles of suntan lotion. :lmao: So I say look at who is going with you on the trip and then ask who is brining what so you dont over do it.

my kids:banana:

first trips we brought way to many clothes for the kids like 3x the amount we needed. the logic behind it was for accidents and spills. but now we just bring bar laundry soap(1 pack equals 1 load iirc) and we look for hotels with laundry on site. this is a life saver.

We did that ourselfs too, packed half the clothes, Knowing we were going to do wash one day.

My flat iron :sad2: I only used it the first day, then I realized there's no way to keep my hair dry on the water rides so it was pointless.

I also bring too many shoes and t-shirts.
