What did you get when you joined DVC?

I bought OKW Nov. 1991 and was to receive a photo taken in the Commodore House (it was to be sent to me and never arrived.)

In 1995 I bought HH and received 2 HH logo drink bottles and a HH beach bag.

Resale at OKW in 2004 - got my resale! Bought an add-on at SSR this year through DVC and recieved the tote bag and the SSR lithograph.

I received the SSR Litho and the DVC Beach Bag. We bought 180 Points at SSR in May.

With our initial 230 point purchase, we got a beach bag with the logo on it, and a print. I don't recall that we received anything when we did the 150 point add on.

In 2001 we received the leather backpack with the Mickey hand tag attatched (lost that right away!), a pen, and lithograph of VWL. Later that year we added on at BCV and received its lithograph.

Bought resale - just many points, enough extra to take the entire family (9 of us - well 8, I was very, very pregnant with my son!!) and not go into point debt!!!

First bought in late 2000 and got a canvas tote bag and a DVC license plate. Added on in mid 2001 and got nothing. Resale in mid 2002 and got nothing.

We got the beach bag with DVC logo, lithograph of SSR, a photo of my family, a ton of fastpasses to be used on any ride, oh and don't forget icecream. But the best part was lifetime of family memories at Disney.

We are new members. After our tour, they gave us meal vouchers for everyone in our party. The next week with our paperwork they sent the canvas bag (which I love) and the lithograph.

If you go in to tour, ask whatever perks they have at the time. They do give out stuff just by taking the tour.

A 10 year mortgage and a canvas bag to carry all the paper work home in. The mortgage is gone but at least I still have the bag with all the paper work in it.

WOW! Didn't anyone else get FREE UNLIMITED PARK PASSES until December 1999 like we did?? That was the best part! For almost 5 years we never had to pay to get into the parks!

We also got a canvas bag with all the mortgage stuff in it and lots of legal stuff that we never read. Over the years we've gotten stuff like a license plate, or a pin when they opened up a new DVC resort.

The passes were just part of the deal from 1/92 until end 12/99--only at OKW--I got 8 years. They were trying to sell the first contracts in a "new kid on the block" timeshare.

In 1992, we of course got the free pass promotion, an ice cream sundae (Mmmmm ice cream) and a photo. When the photo was taken, we were instructed to look slightly down and wave. When the photo arrived, we were superimposed into a hot air balloon flying over WDW with Mickey and the gang.

1997= bought 220 at OKW got canvas zippered bag to carry everything, then in mail got canvas beach bags, have gotten pins several times - bought BCV in presale and got litho and backpack, bought SSR and can't remember except for cardboard box with paperwork- maybe there was a second backpack since I have two and another litho. The memories we have made so far are the best perk of all. Don't know when they ended the free pass promotion but the first trip in 1998 we somehow got 7 one day passes for the 9 of us. I questioned it at check in as I didn't expect any passes and the CM said that's what is showing up here so they are yours to use on the day specified. We never had any other free days though so it was probably just a lucky (for us) glitch in the system. We were there for a week and having one of the days free was great especially since two of the group had other things to do that day.

We bought 230 pts @ VWL in 2001 and got:

- the backpack
- VWL litho
- deck of cards
- mouse pad
- OKW coasters
- variety of pens
- beach towel
- mini deck of cards

We were razzing our rep that for all the $$ we were spending, it felt wrong to leave empty handed. About a week after we closed, we got a FedEx box full of "stuff" !! We were so happy with our knick knacks!
