Great review by the DIS team - check out their video

What did you eat since January 2018, prepared by the new Chef Catie from Louisiana ?

In the past times we have been there we liked the Chicken Parmesan ;)

We have done the parade package two years in a row. March 2017 the food was Ok. March 2018 it was delicious, one of our favourites of the trip! We all really liked the ravioli.

We have all enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and the spaghetti and meatballs...also still recovering from the fact that they removed the zucchini fries!!!

I had the chicken parm dinner. It wasn't gourmet, but I was quite good. I was pleasantly surprised.

Interesting review. Still not a positive review, but im happy to hear that they are making the effort to make Tony's better.

A few key points:

Balsamic drizzle with cheesecake? Really? Yuck.
I like the fact that the red sauce changed. They said its still not the best, but its way better than the canned stuff before.
I like the fact that they now make their own pasta.
Warning to all, stay away from the chicken! lol.

I had a grilled pork chop once & it was really pretty good. I don't see it on the menu anymore, though. :(

I have never tried anything with the infamous red sauce. There are some things that I don't eat "out" (or "when I'm not in X location") because I know I'm just setting myself up to be disappointed and therefore give the restaurant an unfair review due to my personal preferences. Red sauce is on that list.

Awww, just looked at the menu and I see they dropped our favorites from the old menu (shrimp scampi (me) and shortrib with polenta (DH)). Too bad, but I do see a lot of things on the new menu that look pretty good. Looking forward to trying it! I've always liked Tony's.

My DD may years ago when she was 8 years old, got Mickey shaped cheese raviolis, and they were not on the menu. The Chef came out and asked her how many Mickey shaped cheese raviolis would she like.
She felt like a Princess ! princess:

Are you thinking this is balsamic vinegar over cheesecake? Doubt that's it. More likely a Blackberry or strawberry balsamic reduction. Quite common and very good!!

It actually is balsamic, they tasted in the video thinking it was chocolate... nope.

I've had aged balsamic with fruit in Italy... but cheesecake? I'm adventurous, but still... :crazy2:

This is what I am referring to. Not plain balsamic vinegar you'd put on salad. Am hoping this is close to what they used.

As pp noted, in the video, they said it was balsamic, not a fruit balsamic reduction. They said the cheesecake was very good, the combination a fail.
The current menu online just says seasonal cheesecake, so thats not much help.

Well according to the fella's in the review who tried it, it wasn't good at all and a huge fail. It goes well with strawberries, but NOT cheesecake.

Yes exactly. If you watch the video, they said balsamic. Not a fruit balsamic reduction. Big difference between the two. And with cheesecake? HELL NO! Bad combo.
