..during yesterday's ice storm?
I got SO much accomplished. The bank closed at 11:30 a.m., so I had the rest of the day to paint the trim in my upstairs hallway and touchup some paint in other rooms. I got to wrap all of the Christmas presents that weren't already wrapped... about 3-4 hours worth... I did laundry, made dinner, and finished all of our Christmas cards.
How did I do this?
Very simple... I dropped the kids off at my Mom's house first thing in the morning since they didn't have school, and they stayed there overnight. My Mom, OTOH, got nothing accomplished. She and my Dad were marveling last night about how I ever get anything done with the kids around. In an odd sort of way, their revelation and admiration made me feel good.
Tonight, it's back to the normal routine, and we get to go to the grocery store. Whoopee!
