So DF is a photographer so pictures are really important to him! But I just started thinking this afternoon, what do you really do with all of the pictures from your big day! I'm sure there will be a couple that I absolutely love and that I will put in frames around the house. But after that what did you all do with all of your photos?

I was trying to decide between all of the different photo shoots you can have but lets be honest... They are probably just going to end up in a photo album or scrapbook. I mean don't get me wrong I love scrapbooks but to have to decide between like hundreds of pics? I'm just not really sure.

Any cool ideas?

I have been trying to call DF to find out what he thinks but he is on base and for some reason I can't get a hold of him... So for right now I would love your opinion!

Thanks y'all!

The plan is to get prints of about 15 of the best photos in a mix of sizes (8x10 through 16x20) for the hall wall, and to do a ginormous Blurb book to keep on the coffee table.

In the meantime, we just got a digital photo frame and have all our photos cycling through - I love it because then we can see detail shots and a lot of the in-between shots that one might not ordinarily frame. (Although I'm the type who just might get an 11x14 made of a picture of Mickey waffles! :rotfl: )

Also, I have them on my computer desktop, some small ones on my desk at work, and a calendar of wedding photos that I made for my MIL and got to keep when it was damaged in transit. Basically, people who see my house/office think I'm obsessed with my wedding pictures... and they are right! :rotfl2:

Plus, there are soooo many photo products now on all the commercial sites, like Snapfish, Shutterfly, Mpix. You can put your wedding photos on greeting cards, mugs, neckties (:lmao: ) - just about anything!

Um I have so many wedding pictures everywhere around lol. I'm a big picture person, love them. You don't even want to know how many pictures I have just in my bedroom lol.

I took all the photos and made a huge blurb photo book out of them in place of a 'traditional' album. It is awesome!! All of our friends and family love it. I'll post pics later today.

i have a ton of pictures all over my house, i had a canvas made from mpix, i did a huge blurb book and i made a renaissance album and have another one, but haven't been inspired to put it together yet...i love the renaissance album the best, but because it's so heavy, we rarely ever look at it.

ohhhh you should get a big pic of the mickey waffles and hang it in your kitchen!

I have made a blurb book of our dessert party....all others are in boxes...I havent even picked out the ones for our album or enlargements that came with our photo package.

I did make a coffee cup for DH with wedding pictures....he uses it every day!

What is a blurb book? I have heard a couple of the disbrides mention it but what is it?

www.blurb.com is a site where you can make cofee table-style books with dust jackets or printed-on covers (or softcover!). It's sort of the next step up from Shutterfly and Snapfish, with better-designed templates, higher-quality printing, and more options for customization. Yet it's cheaper than competitors like My Publisher. :thumbsup2

Here's the book we made with our engagement pictures:
