We got married at SBP back in October, but we had to leave the day after our wedding. We are finally going back next week for our Disneymoon. I am really excited, but I want it to be special. (Not just like any other Disney trip) What did you do when you were on your Disneymoon or on your wedding?

How exciting!!

On our Disneymoon (only 2 weeks ago - I miss Disney already) we:

1) made dining reservations - we didn't really have any the last time we were at Disney like 5 years ago. So this time around to make it special, we reserved lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table. The last time we tried to go there, we thought you could just walk up until the cast member informed us of the 6 month wait :rotfl: We also tried out some others that were fantastic.

2) played mini golf at Fantasia Gardens - we wanted to do things at Disney that weren't always in the parks. This course was recommended to us from a Disney cast member and it was so much fun!!

3) Relaxed!!! - we didn't try to pack in the parks all day. We spent time sleeping in, going to the pool and not rushing around. I totally recommend this!

Don't forget to wear your "Just Married" pins. You might get some special extras at restaurants or in the parks :goodvibes

Hi - I went on my Disneymoon in August 2008. Our honeymoon was about six months after our wedding so we were able to do things we normally wouldn't do/be able to afford. Some of my favorites were:

1) Staying concierge level at the Poly and being able to watch the Wishes fireworks from the lounge

2) Dining at the Chef's Table in Victoria & Albert's

3) Booking some of the tours that we had never been able to do at WDW before, namely the Dolphin Encounter and Segway Tours at Epcot.

Your honeymoon will be special no matter what you choose :goodvibes

Good Luck!

We did an 8-day Disneymoon after our wedding. John hadn't been to WDW since he was 6, so we did do a lot of rides, but also:

• Had a really nice dinner at Coral Reef
• Spent all day at our resort (AKL) playing in the pool, watching the animals and exploring
• Went over to Universal and IOA for a day.

Relax, relax, relax! It was nice to sleep in and not have to rush around everywhere. We still managed to ride everything in the parks that we wanted but did get there at the crack of dawn and go all day long to do it.

we just got back from our disneymoon yesterday, we just did some nice dinner reservations and wore our just married buttons.

Yes! We wore our Just Married buttons. We got free champagne, cupcakes, sundaes...and everyone we saw told us congratulations! :goodvibes

What Disney Resort Hotel do you guys think is best for a Disneymoon? I am in the process of planning our honeymoon and am trying to choose where to stay!! Thanks for any input!!

I think you should stay wherever you would have the most fun and/or relaxation. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and had a blast. The food, atmosphere, room - everything suited us perfectly. My husband loved me waking him up at 6 am because the giraffe was in front of our balcony. :rotfl:

it also depends on your budget, but Disney has great resorts at each price point. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and LOVED it. The grounds are gorgeous and the moderate price saved us a ton of money! :goodvibes

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village. I am so excited!! We have never stayed there before.

My Hubby and i were married May 2009 and we had our Disneymoon September 2009.
It was my 1st trip to WDW so my hubby made all the plans.

We stayed at Coronado Springs with our last night at Contemporary Resort

We made sure to get park hopper passes, picked a few nice restaurants, spent a day at the water parks, and just relaxed.

We ate one night at theCalifornia Grill at the Contemporary and were served dessert just in time to watch Wishes!

Always wear your "Just Married" pins. You are bound to recieve special desserts or even champagne while at restaurants and everyone tells you congratulations!

Remember to have fun and be relaxed! It's the greatest place on earth! :)

Now we are planning a trip back this october to take our son for his first trip!!!
Can't Wait!

You guys gave me such great ideas!!!! I am so excited I HAD to post here, because I am trying to keep it a surprise from DH.

I booked massages at Grand Floridian and then I had planned to go to Narcoossee's for dinner afterwards. It was going to be planned so we would be done just in time to go out for the 10pm fireworks. Well now, I booked an "Intimate Dining Experience" on private balcony at Grand Floridian. I am so excited about this one- he is going to be so surprised. Feel free to PM me for info- I can forward it.

I'm still working on a replica of our cake (since it didnt make it home in one piece- Thanks to my Dad's lead foot-:confused3)

We ate one night at Narcosse's. The Waitress we had was horrible. We waited for every course well past it should have been brought out. We also were brought half cold food. And we were her only table!!!!
So food wasn't the greatest... BUT who's to say next time around would be better? First impression wasn't a good one though!

Well that would have been our first time at Narcoossee's but we canceled it bc of the Intimate Dining, (DH doesnt know that though). I dont know who does the cooking for Private Dining, but that's who is making my food. And we have a private butler, so I think it should be good service. (I am worried I could get used to this! :rotfl:)

Intimate Dining sounds like a good surprise and a good treat :)
I am sure you will have good service, especially since it's intimate dining....
Good Luck!!!

I second AKL. we stayed there for our disneymoon. It was beautiful and amazing watching the animals from our room! plus Jiko is right there if you want to grab a nice dinner.

We had our Disneymoon this past October and stayed at Saratoga Springs. We loved how Saratoga Springs really felt like it was "away from it all" and we took several late afternoon breaks by the pool. The grounds were also lovely. Some extras we did on our Disneymoon:
*Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - We had so much fun doing this! (We were Lady and the Tramp)
*Keys to the Kingdom Tour
*Dinner at Citricos, Cali Grill and Hollywood Brown Derby
*Pedicures on our last day at The Spa at Saratoga Springs - So great for our tired feet after walking in the parks all week - they even tried to "paint" my DH's toes with something called MANicure! (He wouldn't let them do that, but he did enjoy the mint foot bath)

We also made sure to take one day off from the parks and we spent the day shopping and playing at DisneyQuest. It was nice to have a break.

One tip I have - we wore our Just Married pins everywhere, but I was hesitant to stick a pin into some of the dresses I wore to our dinners. Luckily, my name tag that I use at work has a magnetic backing and I used that for the pin and it worked great! If you can remember to take a magnet, I think it's helpful and then you don't have to stick your clothes!
