I hope that all the Mom's here had a great Mother's Day! What did you do?
We started the day off with going out to breakfast. Didn't really have to wait too long to be seated.. much to our surprise! Then we decided to go to the National Zoo since it was such a pretty day. Had a blast! Ended up going out to dinner a local Mexican place.. yummy! Then, topped the day off with the Survivor Finale! ( Bummed Rupert didn't win, but holding out hope that he'll win the second million on Thursday!!) Got lots of little cards from the kids, along with flowers, and a day at the spa from DH. All in all, it was a wonderful Mother's day!

How about you?

I worked and made $150 in tips :thewave:

Then we went up to my parents' to visit and take Mom her card and gift, came home and DS came over to give me a card, and DD came over to give me a card and beautiful wind chime, then we settled in to watch the "Survival" finale.

DH and I don't exchange gifts as I'm not his mother and he's not my father :teeth:

I had a great day. We had a barbecue, my parents, my in-laws, my sister and her family and my brother and his family came. The kids had a great time playing on our new swingset. My daughter (technically my husband since she is not even 2 yet) bought me the Mom necklace in the Disney catelog with the birthstone charm in the shape of Mickey's head and the new Beauty and the Beast snowglobe. Happy belated Mother's Day to all.

I got breakfast in bed (on a cookie sheet no less!!), then off to church with my dd where we enjoyed a Mother's Day brunch that the youth group provided. Came home and 27 y/o dd came by with some late lunch. And some nice candles and holder she made at a pottery party. Ds arrived and told me he was buying me a nice flowering bush. Dh was on the Cape with his mother, so it was nice and quiet with just my 10y/o dd and myself. Got some very nice Disney catalogue stuff...for the garden. Watched Survivor with dd and went to bed. Very nice day with the possible exception of not having my own mom around for the first time!

DW and DMIL had some quality time in the afternoon. DMIL chose a restaurant with a buffet that featured...UNLIMITED SUSHI:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: OMG it was the best mother's day ever(spoken by a man);)

Well, we went to a local market that I've not been to for 6yrs, had lunch out, came home & relaxed for a bit then my Mum & brother came down & we all went out to dinner

This year was one of my favorite Mother's Day to date. I don't know why, it was just a really nice day!

We had lunch at Olive Garden then dropped the boys off at a friend's house.

DH and I went to the new Yankee Candle store in town and I treated myself to a few new tarts, scents I haven't tried yet.

Then we hit a new place here called the Tropical Cafe and got a "Tropi-Colada" that was out of this world delicious!

The weather was perfect and everyone was in a good mood for a change! It was a great day! :sunny:

When the day was done and I was saying my prayers, I thanked God that we both still have our moms and hope they are here with us next year too! Each passing year becomes more precious! ::yes::

I had a great day!! I slept in (8:30 is sleeping in here!) and awoke to fresh brewed just for me coffee. I got a lovely noodle necklace made from the finest macaroni and rigatoni money can buy from my little DS, and my oldest DS wrote me a letter that I laminated. I stayed in my pj's all day on the couch and watched chick flicks on Lifetime and Somethings Gotta Give. My boys made me a great dinner of london broil and baked potatoes and then they ran down to the local ice cream stand for hot fudge sundaes :bounce: We ended the perfect Mom's Day with Survivor.

Saturday...
Took 5 yr old son to the golf course to play a round. Goddess had 5 hours to herself to do whatever she wanted.

Woke up early,
Went and got breakfast for the Goddess and son..

Cleaned and Vaccumed the whole house...
Cleaned the bathrooms too...:scared1:

Went to the mall, watched Pirates of Carribean on DVD and then cooked her a steak dinner...

Since this is the community board, I cant tell anymore... :teeth:

My tag says it all... "Am I the luckiest girl, or what?"

Not only did Nebsky do all the things he listed above, he and Mr. B also got me cards and presents! (He knows I love getting cards, even though he HATES buying them!)

It was a great day, indeed!!

We didn't do much for Mother's Day because last week, DH and I went to Vegas :bounce::Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc where I took my DM to see Celine Dion's show. Absolutely wonderful!

We were pretty jet-lagged yesterday so it was all day on the couch for me.
