The weather is terrible here today. Most of the area was under a tornado watch.

It is wet and severe weather today. Lighting and a few tornados. One touched down not too far from me and caused major damage, missed me by not much!

We're sitting here in SE FL waiting for that nasty line of storms to come through while the rest of the state gets pummeled. Just keeping our fingers crossed for friends that are heading back home today from WDW via the FL Turnpike.

I wouldn't want to be on the roads right now. Haven't seen so many tornado watches for the state at one time in ages (kinda like what happened before Wilma hit)... Otherwise it's hot and humid. I'm ready for some cool, dryer air, just wish the front would come through without the nasty weather.

On Christmas Eve morning my DD and I got up (DH ordered room service) and went to the Crystal Palace to have breakfast with Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore (her favorite). The MK had an early entry and it the park was so empty from 7:30 to about 9:30 when we left (although we saw a ton of people coming in). We then went to the Animal Kingdom and spent the rest of the day there. Took our ponchos with us and never had to use them. Had dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and watched it pour for about 5 minutes. By the time we got back to the GF, we were able to watch the fireworks from the MK.

Today, (Christmas Day), we had breakfast and watched the weather closely due to the tornado warnings around us. We finally decided to go to Downtown Disney and use some of those gift cards we received for Christmas. About half way through our shopping, it started pouring and rained most of the afternoon. By the time we left for dinner, most of the rain had gone through and they say the rest of tonight and tomorrow should be fairly rain free.

It was nice to spend Christmas Day here, but it was so warm it didn't feel like Christmas weather.

This is our third holiday season as FL residents. So far, two out of three Christmas' have rained. And when it rains, a lot of the festivities are canceled. (Hence we stayed home today.)

Well, our plans were to go to MGM early on Sunday, then Epcot in the afternoon. We had a 4:00 LeCellier, then 6:45 CP! I ended up feeling really bad, and MGM was packed, so we went to Pop Century to play at the arcade. Ate lunch there.

Got to our LeCellier just fine, but still feeling really bad, couldn't eat at all. Took my food to go. Started over to stand and try to see the 5:00 CP, but that is when the sky opened up and it started raining pretty good. Didn't last too long, but we ended up leaving. Gave our CP stickers to a family coming in. It was raining again though, pretty hard, but 6:45! So, glad we didn't stay.

For today, the plan was to go to MK for CRT for midday lunch/dinner. Thanks to this board, I read on Wed. that if they closed down MK on Christmas Day, you were out of luck, even with an ADR. So, I thankfully was able to switch that meal to Sat. Which was fabulous!

So, the new plan was to sleep in, do gifts, have breakfast, then hit AK. Of course that got messed up with the heavy rains, so we ended up staying at WL all day long, never went anywhere. It turned out nice actually! The hotel did lots of fun stuff, crafts, game, pinata, bingo. Did a lot of those.

We also had the Sleigh ride scheduled for tonight, but that too was canceled due to the rain!

Overall it was nice, but my perfect Christmas eve and day plans were torn to shreds! Guess we will just have to come back and try again!
