Well, I got my NPC credits and credits from codes. Then I tried to play games and found the only one that worked well on my Mac was Jungle Cruise. I figured out the strategy for playing Jungle Cruise and got tons of credits for getting on the top ten list. I discovered Nedding too and told everyone I saw that you could just crash the boats and you'd get 20 credits. Then they changed the Jungle Cruise to be what it is like now. I still was able to make the top ten list but not as often. Boo!
Somewhere in there was the Parade event which I was unable to get into so I didn't get to play the games that went along with it and all that stuff. Not too long after that, they had a Pin Trading Rom event so I finally bought some furniture and decorated my room. I worked very hard at setting up the room all afternoon to make it look like a pin trading room - small areas of grouped seating with tables for trading - only to discover the winning rooms didn't look like pin trading rooms at all! But at least my room was judged. Many rooms didn't get judged at all.
So would you like to know what the original strategy for Jungle Cruise was? It was kind of clever. There wasn't enough film to take pictures of every animal and you were quite likely to run out of gas so you had to pay attention to those numbers. The real key was the photo album which is useless now. To improve your score, you needed to go through the pictures you had taken to see which animals in which rooms gave you the best scores. Then you had to plan your game so that you took pictures of the highest scoring animals with your limited amount of film for each room. Now there isn't much strategy at all. You can take pictures of the gas cans or yourself and still end up with a ton of extra film.
I didn't mean to focus on the negative. I'm quite ill right now with an abcessed tooth - lots of pain (vicodin helps a lot), nausea from antibiotics and my face feels all weird because the swelling is stretching the skin so tight. I recommend treading lightly around me as just about anything can send me into a tizzy at this point.
So, on the positive side, I made a lot of new friends, came out of lurking on the Dis VMK board, discovered closing time dances and found the Surf Spot. I couldn't begin to count the number of Sweet Teas I drank and how much floor pizza I ate in the Surf Spot! I became a regular closer at the Surf Spot - back when boys against girls was important and a lot of the closing talk was just people saying, "last".
