I'd like to know what all the intimate brides did after their wedding ceremony. Did you have dinner? If so, where? How was it? Anyone do something in Orlando and not Disney?

Our intimate wedding was at SBP at 11:00am and we had dinner reservations for everyone at 5:30am at 'Ohana. It was great for everyone, especially us to go back and rest for awhile. Plus, we had to change and needed a nap. It was a long morning!! We handed out wedding favors, had a lovely dinner, surprise cake for my DH, and we opened wedding gifts. After dinner, we hung out at the Poly shopping, taking pics, and chatting before everyone went home for the night. We started our Disneymoon the next day. It was a great time and very relaxing! :goodvibes

We are having a 10am ceremony followed by cake and champagne at the GF with M&M. Then we are going to take the monorail to the Contemporary for lunch and cocktails at the Concourse Steakhouse. We will be retreating to the resort for a few hours of R&R, then rejoining the family and my mom for MNSSHP!
Originally, we had planned on doing the MK photo shoot at 6am, 9am ceremony at SBP, breakfast at Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Faire, then an Illuminations dessert party in the evening. With the construction, though, we are going to come back next year for the MK photos, moved our ceremony to the WP and nixed the IDP when all we were allowed to book was Morocco.

we had a 2pm ceremony, went to the GF for the cake reception, took the limo over to the contemporary, had a few cocktails before dinner at chef mickeys (we had no kids, but we wanted something not too serious!), then hopped on the monorail back to the GF for a wishes cruise.

We are hoping to have a 3pm wedding at Sunset Pointe. I'm going to book O'Hanas for the 8 of us and then a Wishes cruise :teeth:

We are having our ceremony at 5:00 at SBP, then family dinner at 'Ohana at 8:30. Did you guys wear your dresses at dinner or did you change first? I really want to wear my dress! :goodvibes

We're doing something really similar. We're having our ceremony at 4:00 at the Wedding Pavilion, then dinner at 'Ohana at 8:15, right after Wishes. :goodvibes
and HECK YEA! I'm wearing my dress!!

hehe!! I am so excited. :Pinkbounc I'm like a 5 year old again!!!

I think we were the exception to the rule! Our ceremony was at 3:00 pm and after the cake cutting and pictures, which actually it all went over 2 hours, we said "good-bye" to everyone and went to our room and had a private dinner. It was very romantic :cloud9:

Instead of dinner the night of the ceremony we did brunch the next day and everyone loved that idea. They all went off in different directions (MK, EPCOT, Downtown Disney) after the ceremony and enjoyed meeting up with us the next day. After brunch we spent the day at MK with friends and family and that night at PI with other friends. By Saturday everyone had gone home and we were on our own . . .

We had an 11 am wedding on July 25, 2006 the hottest day of they year at Sunset Pointe... So we went to Bizzard Beach!!! Then later on that night went to chef mickey... it was lot of fun!!! ( I am the biggest 27 year old Kid!!!)

Oh that ROCKS!! I can't wait to go to Blizzard Beach!! If our ceremony was earlier in the day, I would SO do that!!

I'd like to know more about that Wishes cruise. I have a fiance who loves boats. Is it a fireworks cruise?

I guess a lot of us brides choose to go to 'Ohana! :teeth: I know we didn't wear our wedding attire. We were ready to get out if those hot and heavy clothes. I couldn't imagine trying to sit, eat, and move around in my dress. I would have made a mess and been in the way...haha! Plus, I would have spilled stuff on it I'm sure. My DH and I still dressed up nice, but I wore a simple nice dress and he wore slacks and a button down shirt. We still looked very nice...oh, and of course we wore our Mickey birde & groom ears! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

We are having a 2pm ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion and then the cake cutting reception. At 5:30pm we are going to dinner at the California Grill so that we can watch fireworks over the Magic Kingdom!!

:wizard:

...and it was great. We got married last October at WP....3:00 p.m. We had ressies for 5:20 p.m. We timed it perfectly because after the ceremony and pictures we were pushing it and didn't leave WP until 5 after 5:00.

O'hana's was wonderful and the best meal we had during our week at Disney. Plus it included fun stuff for our 2 kids and our niece and nephew that attended.

Heck yea we wore our attire, including all of of our guests. Our party included about 17 folks that all came right after our wedding. It was nice and everyone congratulated us all night long!!!!!

We had a 3:00 pm ceremony at SBP. After the ceremony, cake cutting and pictures we went to dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We were there until about 8:00 pm and then we walked back to the BWI (1/2 of us walked, the rest used the limo). After saying our goodnights and thanks in our garden suite everyone left and we started the honeymoon.

We had a 10:00 am ceremony @ the WP then had a mock cake cutting at the GF Commander's Terrace with M&M. We then had lunch at the Portobello Yacht Club in DTD at 1:00 pm. After lunch we all took a rest and at night had the IllumiNations Dessert Party. The food and service at the Portobello was great.
