What did you accomplish during morning EMH at Epcot?

We will be in WDW the first week of May. We have a full day at Epcot planned on Sunday 5/1. I am considering our second Epcot day being for EMH (morning) on Thursday 5/5. We won't have hoppers. But we are staying at the BWV and will go back to the resort after lunch for some pool time and then return to Epcot for dinner and some more WS exploring.

What has your experience with Epcot morning EMH been?

Since we will have been in Epcot already, this is what I would like to accomplish from 8-11:
  • Test Track
  • Mission Space Green
  • Spaceship Earth
  • Sum of All Thrills (opens at 9:00)
  • Living with the Land
Touring Plans has us finishing all of this around 10:40...in that order.

Then we will go to the World Showcase and explore some country pavilions, eat lunch, watch some shows, etc.

One reason that I would like to plan an EMH morning at Epcot, is in the hopes of Frozen Ever After being open that week...and wishful thinking that it would be open for EMH.

Thanks for any feedback!

Bump! Surely there must be someone on the DIS who has done morning EMH at Epcot since Soarin' closed!:confused3

You never know, but the Showcase has never had an attraction open for AM EMH.:)

We did EMH at Epcot a few years ago and honestly it was almost a waste of time, because there just wasn't enough to do, and that was with Soarin open!
-Straight to Soarin
-Test track
-Nemo/Turtle talk/the Seas
-The Land
-Spaceship Earth
-Wandered the gift shops aimlessly with nothing to do while we waited for more stuff to be open

Seriously. Granted this was in Sept and I organized via crowd calanders so it wasn't busy that day, but still, am emh at Epcot to me aren't worth it.

You make a good point about the Frozen stuff, even if it isn't open for emh, you could probably send someone from your party back there to wait in "line" or lack thereof while you play around the park, just depends on whether that will be allowed, and whether it will start at 9am or 11am.

We skip EPCOT early EMH as I agree with the above poster. We did not have enough to do in the Future World section until 11:00 AM World Showcase opened. I have teens and they aren't interested in much of what Future World has to offer.

I went in October and we did Epcot EMH:
At rope drop we rushed over to test track because it looked like rain would ruin our fast pass for it later on (and it did) we rode test track with 10 min wait. Then we went over and rode Finding Nemo (3 times back to back) there was no wait what so ever. We did living with the land, journey into imagination with Figment, looked through gift shops and had an early lunch before heading over to the world showcase. We rode all our rides and were done before the park officially opened.
