What did we think of TEEN MOM 2?

Hey at least there was no skunk head last night.

Yea they should have had a disclaimer: no dead animal wigs were used in the making of this episode!

you know, thank goodness it's cold because wang a dang can't walk around with part of a shirt like he did when it was warmer.lol

As far as we know, they did not, which is exactly why it IS kidnapping. They weren't married when the baby was born. As such, he has exactly no rights to her at all.

He has no right to custody or anything else (which is why some of us keep saying the fathers should go to court and get orders locked down). Taking the kid is kidnapping because as far as the law is concerned, he's a totally random adult.

If he is on the birth certificate would he not have equal rights to the child as the mother? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I find it odd that someone would be considered a random adult while on a child's birth certificate simply because they were not married and have no court approved custody agreement.

No, it conveys no legal rights or obligations. The mother can list whomever she wishes on the birth certificate, or no one. No one checks paternity, or even asks any questions - you can write in Joe Smith or Luke Skywalker, or a guy you want to get back at or whomever, hence it's not legally binding and doesn't carry rights or obligations.

If a couple is married, paternity is presumed. Otherwise, it has to be legally established, one way or another. You can work your way into it - if you live together with someone and act as the child's father, contributing financially, emotionally, etc., and 10 years later split, you may be legally tagged for support even if they scientifically establish that you're not related to the child, because you acted in a manner as if you were. But.. has to be established. Adam had and has, afaik, no legal relationship to Aubrey whatsoever. He's also creepy.

Chelsea is no better as a parent, and I wish she'd stop talking to Aubrey like a demented illiterate (though I suppose there's little else she can do) - 'aw, you be a good Mama. (as the kid played with a doll)'

I find all the girls on TM2 really unlikable, dumb, and worse, as they're on my tv, uninteresting.

Leah is one seriously low-rent moron, eh? That hair and those nails weren't kidding. What a trash heap.

Though every single girl on this show seems to know nothing but teenagers with kids. What the heck? Where do these people live that there are that many pregnant teenagers in their circle? Low rent backwoods folk, especially Chelsea, who seems to know no one who her age who doesn't have kids and none of them seem to be in school or have jobs, and Leah.

Was it Chelsea's sister who has 1 kid who is also announces she is pregnant again? or am I getting turned around?

And Jenelle: um maybe I am a witch, but you know I have a rule I don't bail out anyone. and she wants to do it again, didn't her friends bail him out before? and she wonders why no one picks up the phone. stop playing victim.

even Reefer's friend is like, no that isn't a good idea. ding ding , there's your sign

Chelsea's sister has a kid - the girl telling Chelsea she's pregnant in the preview is Megan, her friend who lived with her last season until A-dumb moved in and she got shoved out.

Because every teenager Chelsea knows has kids, because they are all class these people. I really, really don't get her, out of all of them.

She's the one with the educated parents, who weren't teen parents themselves, who both have solid jobs, who both have money, who provided for her. She's got a good, close relationship with a loving father (who really needs to stop enabling her crap but still) - how do she and her sister end up teen parents?

Of all of the girls on this show, she's the one who, on paper, shouldn't be in the situation she's in and not only is she in it, she's wallowing and festering in it, jobless, schoolless, useless.

Dang, I knew she looked familiar. I liked Megan she was a more of a parent then both dead skunk wig and wang a dang. and then wig picked wang over Megan essentially, didn't have her back.

Yeppers, that's Megan, who seemed smarter, well, than Chelsea, at least, as she hated A-dumb's guts. Clearly she's not but ... yeah Chelsea threw her over for A-dumb, then got all upset and cried and whined when Megan was peeved about being shafted.

Why do you even watch this show if it annoys you so much? :confused3 So much negativity in every one of your posts. You seem to really hate these girls that you don't even know.

They're on television because they're hateful. They didn't exactly pick women people would root for; shining examples of people trying to improve their lives and situations. They picked forehead slapping, laugh-inducing, dopey trash, same as the people on Jersey Shore or the Real Housewives.

There's Caitlin and Tyler on the original one and then there's the rest of these morons. As for why I watch it, eh, it's on and it's reality television, why does anyone watch it? It's trainwreck television; it's fascinating to watch people you'd never exactly run into in real life. I do find TM2 much less watchable than 1, but other people I know watch it so...

Story on msn.com this morning that Leah is engaged and pregnant! Geez.

I watch the show off and on and have a question that I'm sure has been asked & answered, but where is this Andrew guy? The father of Janelle's baby?

This thinking is way off. So you are saying because someone's parents have educations, jobs and money that one will not have unprotected sex?

On paper she shouldn't be in the situation she's in? What does that even mean?:confused3 It's her parents that have the jobs, money and education-not her.
Her and her sister ended up as teen parents because they had unprotected sex as teenagers and they didn't choose abortion or adoption!
(and I don't even know how old her sister is or what age she had her kid)

I thought it was cute when Corey dressed up as Santa. He really cares for his family. I even appreciated his duct-tape wrapped present.

Does anyone know if Kailyn and Jordan are still together? They seem cute together although she kinda treats him like a kid sometimes.

Janelle's 'story' this week cracked me up. The voiceover was her saying "I want my mom to let me spend Christmas with Jace" and in the video it was her yelling at her mom about not being able to dress her own son when she wanted to. I don't know how her mom kept from smacking her or throwing her out again. What a brat!

Chelsea was same old story. She needs therapy to get over her parents divorce.

Yeah, statistically, parents with high levels of education, good jobs, money, etc., are much less likely to have kids who end up as teen parents.

I meant, on paper, if you just took the statistics of her life - her parents were not teen parents themselves (which is a huge marker for it, as teen parenthood perpetuates through generations), they're both well-educated (I think both have graduate-level degrees), they both have good jobs, are upper middle class, she has a close, loving relationship with her father - all of those things, statistically, make it less and less likely someone will end up a teen parent or getting pregnant as a teenager. Her sister I believe got pregnant as a teenager as well; I dunno how old she is currently. So... :confused3 makes me wonder what the deal is. Yes, anything can happen, but it's anomalous, especially with both kids.

Having been born to teen parents, having parents of low socio-economic status, having parents who were not highly educated, etc., all substantially up the odds that a kid will end up becoming a teen parent or getting pregnant as a teenager. Common in that situation, rare in the other.

It's interesting - makes me wonder about Chelsea's grandparents and Aubrey and her cousin's outcomes. Aubrey, statistically, is not likely to do anything but perpetuate a bad cycle. Her parents are both uneducated, low income, unmotivated teen parents. Doesn't bode well.

I wonder if Randy and his ex- and current wife were the anomalies or if Chelsea and her sister will be.

Okay so I just caught up on last weeks episode...Jenelle just doesn't understand that everyone is helping her by not bailing Keiffer out. She needs to get her life together.

and :scared1: about Leah and the new boyfriend and baby. Moving a little fast aren't we??? WOW just WOW.

Looking forwards to tonight's back to back episodes:goodvibes

My heart just breaks for Corey Leah treated him so badly the whole time. He truly loves those girls.

Ok, tonight's episodes:

Kailyn: seriously, she is a sneak. For the life of me and I guess courts vary from place to place obviously, but why wasn't child support brought up when they went to custody and visitation? I think her deal is she just doesn't like the possible confrontation, my exdh was like that, still is somewhat and then be sneaky and that makes the situation worse.

As for Grinch not being there, honestly I may get flamed, but it has nothing to do with her, she may think it does, but whatever Grinch does or doesn't do , he will have to one day answer for when Isaac gets older.

Chelsea: good grief, honestly I don't blame wang a dang tonight. teling him oh I am moving tomorrow(really I think she had a little bit of time before she had to did she not?)and I want you and your friends to help. Apparently it's just her world and everyone else lives in it. Good looking out there mom and dad, she learned it somewhere.

Jenelle: You don't know how bad I was hoping she would get her hind parts of that bed, brush her shoulders off and take care of Jace, put your child before a man, but she just doesn't have it in her. and then she is chasing after a car?

Leah: So glad to see the baby stand up, even on her heels.

Kale is such a nasty, miserable piece of work. Forever whining, forever moaning and then leaving that message. Let's see, his father has him two or three days a week, you have him the other four or five, you've apparently never brought up that he should put in $ for the extra day or two's costs before but gee, as soon as you need money, you don't even approach him, you go and file and leave a nasty message? Horrible.

Yes, if she has him more, Joe should certainly contribute so that they're paying equally for Isaac's care. He seemed to have no objection to that - he said he'd like to have Isaac more, so maybe that'll backfire on you, there, Debbie Downer.

There are no words for Janelle, that was just beyond pathetic.

Leah grates.

Chelsea is so dumb and pathetic it's just hilarious - like her hair. That was... something. As was getting annoyed at A-dumb-uh for not dropping everything and apparently getting his friends to do the same with one day's notice.

Loved how she'll pay the utility bill because she wants to contribute. Uhm, you don't have a job. All your money comes from sucking off your father like a leech. So instead of having him pay the utility bill, and the rent, and the groceries, you'll... take the money he gives you in cash and pay the utility bill. Brilliant. What an independent woman.
