A little OT (sorry) the local news is full of the Casey Anthony trial (a local mom accused of murdering her baby daughter Caylee) which is getting closer to it's start date. In going back and reading through some of the various pretrial info I reread this item that had been posted on MySpace by Cindy Anthony (Casey's mother, Caylee's grandmother) when Caylee was missing.

I was really struck by how this could be Barbara speaking of Jenelle and Jace, the tone sounds so eerily familiar:

Current mood: distraught She came into my life unexspectedly, just as she has left me. This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

Doesn't this sound just like what Barbara says when she is crying? The only bright side is that while Jenelle is a total PIA, at least she didn't go that route TG.

Saw the unseen moments last night and I agree with everyones thoughts/comments - Keiffer and Jenelle at the food pantry was really disturbing. I don't know what the requirements are to be eligible for food pantry.

I watch allot of TRU TV and am on In Sessions Forums and while I do not follow this trial, I believe Casey Anthony is going on Trial in Orange County, FL in MAY, 2011.
Oh and yes she is still in jail.

I just watched the first 2 seasons of 16 and Pregnant (Amber, Macy and co. and then Janelle, Kailyn and co.). Wow...so many of the babies' daddies are complete, total jack(donkeys)!!! I wanted to reach through the screen and grab some of their necks and tell them: "You have a BEAUTIFUL baby son/daughter, and because you are too STUPID, STUBBORN and IMMATURE towards their mom, you will never have a relationship with your child". I mean, some of them really were just immature, but then you've got the ones like Wang-a-dang who were all that taken to the next level.

I just have to say...Janelle, you need H.E.L.P. Your son is the cutest thing in the world, and you are so messed up right now. Yes, you were raised in a toxic environment, but you're a mom now and you need to get some counseling to deal with those issues. I honestly think deep down that once (if) she straightens out, she has the determination and chutzpah to go somewhere...

I can't stand the way Chelsea always smiles at Adam when she is mad or annoyed with him. It's like she is too afraid to show him how she really feels or doesn't want him to leave. I think she is the weakest mom on the show.

I agree with you about the guys. Such deadbeats. Some of the moms were too. Hopefully they'll straighten up. I didn't like Leah on her 16&p but now I love her. She grew up like she was supposed to and I think she's a great mom.

I don't think there's any hope for Jenelle. She gets in her gung ho, I'm going to be better, go to school get a job, mood and then the next day she's off again. She's like a rollercoaster. And then she has the nerve to tell Jace's dad that she's a great mom. Oh because you were spooning some pureed peas into your son's mouth? There's a lot more that goes into being a mom!

I KNOW!!!! That drives me crazy. Even when she was talking about him cheating on her, she had a smile on her face. Crazy.

I am "friends" with Maci on FB, but I don't think its her, its someone running an official page. And I am pretty sure a few months back it said MTV was going back to the original teen moms in May. So I guess after this cycle of 16 and pregnant we will see the original Teen Moms again.

Six months after Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer wed Corey Simms, the 18-year-old mother of two has filed for divorce, Us Weekly has confirmed.

Though the MTV star filed papers in Kanawha County between April 8 and 15, fans of the show shouldn't be too surprised to see the two split. "Everything Corey and I have done has happened so fast," Messer recently told Us.

After all, the pair dated for one month, found out they were expecting, split up just after the 2009 birth of their twin daughters, then reunited six months later. From there, it took just weeks for them to move into together and for 20-year-old Simms, a certified water-distribution operator, to propose.

"I didn't want to jump into something else and be like, 'Oh, s***! What did we do?'" Messer told Us. "Three years ago, back before I was pregnant, I never thought I'd be married now. I was scared because a lot of people who marry young end up divorcing within a year."

After all, Messer had seen it happen within her own family. "My mom and dad married, divorced, remarried and divorced again," she said. "I don't want my girls [Aliannah and Aleeah, 16 months] to go through that. My mom talked to me because she wed at 16 and didn't want me to go through a divorce like she did."

Despite the divorce proceedings, friends of the couple hope to see the newlyweds reconcile.

"They are not in a good place right now," a source tells Us. "Their friends are hoping they find a way to make it work."


There has been discussions on other message boards that the reason this has been so hush hush is MTV wants to film it all and show it on TeenMom.

They appeared to be the couple with the least drama and the only wedding for the girls on Teen Mom and look what has happened. Very sad.

What struck me was that in 16&P, Leah seemed really immature, but seemed to mature a HECK of a lot once her babies were born, and especially after Ali's (?) (the girls' names are so similar!) health issues. I got the feeling that she really wanted to make it work with Corey for the girls, but I'm not sure if she really loved him. I mean, let's face it; everything in their relationship did move pretty fast. It's almost like it was done because a)it was the "right" thing to marry the babies' father, and b)because the cameras were around...I REALLY hope it wasn't b). I even remember her mom saying something along the lines of "Even if you change your mind walking down the aisle, I don't care; don't get married if you don't want to"...

Yes, I thought that the whole time. Both ppl. seem nice enough and seem to want to do the "right" thing for the kids ect., but honestly, I never thought either would have wanted to stay together/get married, if it wasn't for the girls. Cory's dad especially was very pressuring to both of them. He made comments all the time about it being the right thing ect. I think he did it, because he really did/does think it's best, but I felt like he was constantly pressuring them into it, and I felt like Leah's mom knew it, but didn't want to "rain on their parade." Like I said, I don't either of them are bad ppl., but I just don't think either of them really wanted to be together, purely, because of each other.

I am sad to hear about Leah and Corey but I think it is better for the girls if they split up now rather than creating a bad environment.
