What did WE celebrate? .. 30 days of Disney fun and food! Update 04/02

Thanks for tonight update, the dessert looks yummy. We went to a cruise 10 years ago and they didn't have any type of fireworks.
Cute when you entered your room...

It took 3 cruises for us to figure out there WAS a Pirate buffet! :lmao: They all looked disneylicious, but we were still too full from dinner! ;)

They have fireworks on every cruise! It is just so much fun. I read here on the DIS that other cruiseships sail close by so they can watch the fireworks and every time there was at least one other cruiseship close by! :lmao:

Arturo made the most fun towel animals. We had such a laugh with this one, as the cabin was barely lit and at first sight it looked like there was someone in the stateroom! We laughed real hard at our mistake!! :lmao:

Love the pictures Karin! I see Mick and a little bit of me in that lovely dessert line.:) I wish I were not so full that night so I could have ate more of the desserts.:thumbsup2

Did Mickey climb down into the party? That's amazing. The desserts look pretty darn good, too. Maybe we should look into this cruise thing...:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thank you, Teresa!
Yes, it was fun to see "a little bit of the two of you" in the photos! I saved the photos of all of us together for my trip report! ;)
This summer (wow, it feels so good to say THIS SUMMER! :lmao:) we will need to leave more room for all the yummy things there! ;)

Yes, he does! The fireworks start right when he arrives at the other funnel. So everyone is distracted looking up and they can lower him down and "unhook" him!
That "cruise thing" is just the best way to vacation! ;) Very relaxing and then still so much Disney!

Oh, and I don't know if you have ever checked out my homepage, but I have actually updated our October trip and put up a few more days of our summer trip! :goodvibes

Lovely CC day, looks so beautiful. Your yummy cocktails, did you buy those or are they included in the package on CC?

Awesome dinner, both your mains look gooooood! That dessert party looks amazing! I thought the Pirates in the Caribbean was just a deck party, didn't know they put a dessert spread on too!!! Another thing to put on the list of "Is this on..."

Hi Karin

I so look forward to your updates :goodvibes

I can't tell you how excited I am about our forthcoming Cruise

At least I can say it's 'this year' now :yay:

You are really going to enjoy CC! Just make sure you go to Serenity Bay, don't stop at the Family Beach - that will come soon enough! ;)

Unfortunately those drinks need to be paid extra. ;) But they are so worth the little extra expense! :thumbsup2

Dinner was good and the company was real fun! :thumbsup2
Pirates In the Caribbean IS a deck party, but it ends in a yummo buffet! They even have a few savoury things, like turkey legs, but we went mostly for the sweets!
Hope they keep that tradition on the Dream!
BTW - I sent you an email with a few links - thought you might enjoy them! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading along, Linda! I really appreciate that you stick with me through my lengthy threads!

Yes, it really does feel good to be able to say THIS year! I hope you will post a review of your cruise as I would love to know what's new on the Dream! :goodvibes

Day 19, September 1

Disney Wonder - Cooking demonstration

This was our day at sea and we had a few things planned for the day.

First on our list was to watch a cooking demonstration. We skipped breakfast and headed to the cooking demonstration.

One of the Chefs of the Disney Wonder demonstrated how to make the Phyllo Wrapped Salmon Fillet.
The tables were all set!

And here is the finished product!

Monica from Canada, a fellow DISer and FE participant, shared our table and we had lots of fun together.

Next up - Disney Wonder - Palo Brunch

I'm still here...I promise. I have a lot to catch up on and will then come back to comment. I have a ticker (at least for now).

I've so much catching up to do! This is a quick drive by hello...will catch up today (fingers crossed).

How did you get such AWESOME pics of Mickey flying over your head? :worship::worship: Great fireworks pics, too. :thumbsup2 Do you know I have never even SEEN that buffet? I guess I'm too busy dancing to notice the cake! :dancer: :rotfl2: I love that you took the Art of Entertaining- I had intended to do that this time, and missed the whole thing- I'm not even sure when it happened! :confused3 :rotfl:

Was I even ON a Disney Cruise?? :scared1:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The credits for the Mickey photo(s) go to Tom! We got an awesome Nikon camera a year ago, but it is far to big for me to carry around! :rotfl2: So Tom gets to take the "impossible" photos! :rotfl:

We only discovered the buffet on our third cruise! I was determined to take photos of it ....... well, Tom did! and we went and searched for it. Funny little side note - it was right next to where the dance party was! :rotfl:

Monica pointed out that the cooking demonstrations were fun and since we had time we thought we might just try it. It WAS fun ........ and yummy too! :lmao:

Hm....... was it on a DISNEY cruise??? ............. are there any others? :scared1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That monkey in your stateroom is the best towel animal ever!

It was huge! Arturo, our stateroom host did the most amazing towel animals! He was such a fun guy! We even got him some rum cake, as he wasn't able to leave the ship that day! :lmao:

Lol, nope anywhere where its solely for adults is where we will be. Must remember to have a nice Cruise fund for extras like that. We get $25 credit, but am thinking I might add more to that for other extras.

That would be so awesome if they did the same on the Dream and on the three nighter, fingers crossed X :teeth:

Thanks for the email, was just what we needed after getting in from our first full day back at work :)

Look at you two culinary chefs, great job looked like you had a great time :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Right decision - steer away from the kiddos and get yourself to the grown up beach! :rotfl2:
Believe me, they aren't shy and you will receive a nice bill at the end of your cruise! :lmao: We put our CC down and it was all billed to it at the end of the cruise! ;)

I am glad you liked the links in the email - thought I had to share with you, as you are meeting HER this summer too!

We'll find out soon enough what "traditions" they will keep and which new ones they will add! But here's something to remember! READ your personal Navigator EVERY day! LOL - we learned the hard way - I read it when we were back home after our first cruise and found out that we had misses A LOT!!!
