Just wondering what fellow disers had on today at the parks. Looks like it was only high of 65 today. Will be there next wk and temps are supposed to also be in the 60's and wonder what we should pack/wear:goodvibes

I would like to know too as it looks like this will be the weather for our trip. The pix I saw of the parade taping today had people in jeans and sweatshirts. I just bought some Minnie sweatshirts for the kids today as it looks like we will be needing them.

We are going to the parks this week - have decided on fleece zip up hoodies, tshirts, and jeans. If it's really cold we have long sleeve shirts to wear under the hoodies.

Having been there many times at this time of the year, it is not so much the 60's during the day with the sun out, but rather the low 40's, upper 30's at night with the sun down.

I'm from Chicago, 40's here at this time of the year is nice, pleasant. At WDW nighttime 40's are bone chilling. Make sure to have more than jeans and sweatshirts....coats, hats, gloves, scarves.

low/mid 60s as day time high (overnight lows of 41) today through Friday, but by next week temps back up to high 60s to low 70s.

actually 55 F right now (Tues 845p) for evening events, not too bad

im packing jeans, capris, sweats, sweatshirts, vest, hat, gloves, scarves, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts.,bathing suits... that should about cover it all.

We wore jeans and long sleeve shirts during the day today. When the sun went down we added jackets and a hat for the baby. Wasn't too cold tonight. Tomorrow night may be a little cooler.

Two girls were in bathing suits sunbathing for 2 hours at my resort today. I was doing laundry and they were there from when I started to when I left for the parks. So I'd say it's bikini weather. :rotfl2:

I wore a medium jacket today and took it off while the sun was up. But it was needed once the sun set.

Here's a picture from tonight's Osbourne Lights. I had just come out of a show so I hadn't put my jacket on yet but I did put it on later. You can see how the others dressed.

Flying tomorrow, will be at MK for 7am EHM RD on thursday. forecast says 41! planning to bring lots of layers.

Thanks for this thread because I'm curious too: Are low-70's during the day too warm for a sweatshirt or hoodie and short sleeves or is it more jeans and a short sleeve t-shirt? I'll be taking both, but I'll be there next week too and I can't figure out what that's going to feel like!

We were at MK yesterday. I wore jeans, tee, sandals......two jackets. Took one off part way through, put it back on for the Christmas party.

DS (adult) has worn shorts every day we have been here. Wore a sweatshirt the last 2 days for part of the day.

Monday, I went with tshirt & jeans! Since it was raining, we bought hats & sweatshirts! I also had our ponchos from a previous trip. Tuesday, I had a long sleeve shirt under my short sleeved shirt. DAytime was really nice. After sunset I was pretty chilly, my husband was comfortable in his long sleeve tshirt. Today, I'm wearing the same as yesterday, but taking my sweatshirt hooded jacket along too!

I've been to WDW in early December before and remember wearing shorts and t-shirt all the time, occasionally changing to jeans in the evening. Is it because I am British and therefore Florida is always warm to me?

I have been there late December-Jan the past 2 years.

For daytime in the 60s and 70s jeans and a tshirt are good for several hours. The air is cool but the sun feels pretty hot from around 11am to 2pm. Before then and after, you may need a light jacket or hoodie. (Especially if you go for rope drop)

At night with the sun gone, it is really chilly. I brought a scarf and gloves in addition. If you are going all day, you may want to rent a locker for your jackets and stuff.

ps I was there a few days when it was in the 40s. I was wearing a scarf, hat, and down coat, and I felt comfortable. I still saw people in shorts and flip flops.

This is our second year in a row for December. This week is colder than our last trip. Yesterday we wore pants, t-shirts, and a light sweater over top. When the sun went down we pulled out light gloves, medium weight coats and my son wore a hat. It was very chilly towards the end of MVMCP.

ETA) and we wore flip flops and sandals when it was warmer last weekend, but you definitely don't want cold feet right now so it's socks and shoes.

Been here since Sunday. Every day we have worn:
Jeans or long "yoga" pants sneakers, t-shirt over a long sleeved shirt, heavy sweatshirt or fleece on and off as needed (mostly morning and evening)
We had hoods up last night and wore gloves. Many on the parade route had blankets.

We will be arriving late Thursday night, going to MVMCP Friday and were hoping to take advantage of EMH until 3AM at MK Saturday night. We are from the south, so this weather is REALLY, REALLY cold to us!! I expected to be a little chilly, but not this cold....YIKES!!!

I'm leaving for the airport in less than three hours. I've been to Disney World for some VERY cold Februarys before and swore never again, but the lure of the lights has drawn me to December.

Is it overkill to bring my winter coat? As much as I might need it at night I don't think I want to lug it around during the day.

I'm from New York and we have snow on the ground, bit I hate :cold:

Hard to say. We're Canadian and my winter coat is big and bulky and down filled. Wearing that definitely would have been overkill last night. I'd say it would make more sense to wear a sweatshirt and bring a lighter jacket to put on when the sun goes down. It's not the bone chilling cold we get at home by any stretch.
