What details do you really love about Pirates?

i like the coolness on a warm day, and the smell of the water!

I love the beginning, the middle and the end! LOL

Seriously though, I love the fireflies and frogs and going past the BB, I love the waterfalls after the first 2 drops. I love the pirate skeleton that is steering the ship in the storm, I love the parrot skeleton in the bedroom and the teeth getting big through the magnifying glass. I love the Davy Jones smoke screen, "Carlos don't be cheeken" LOL, the pipe playing pirate that reminds me of Mr Smee. The lady in red, she's awesome, the drunk pirate "here kitty kitty kitty" ROFL. The only thing I think that could be better about the fire scenes are the heat.....if something is smoldering it's hot....I think it should be warmer on that part of the ride.

I love seeing the old man sitting on his porch just before you turn for the drops, and I love the water falls just after the drops.

When I was a kid, every time we passed that old man my dad would say, "Oh look, there's Grandpa!". So now every time I ride it that part is especially nostalgic to me! :goodvibes

I love everything about POTC! It is one of my favorite rides. I especially love the feeling near the beginning where it feels like you are actually outside. I could go on and on about my fave parts of POTC, another one of my fve parts is when there is a clip of Davy Jones and you pass through it.

pirate: It's an AWESOME ride! :thumbsup2

I love the bayou "at night"...the fireflies, the diners on the plantation veranda watching the batauex go by, the banjo in the background, the clinking of the silverware and dishes in the background - I sorely miss those everytime I go to WDW

I love the drops and winding switchbacks

Like others, I love that musty smell... it just screams DL to me.

I love how you can now feel the cannon fire

Even though it's not movie authentic - I still love that the ship is the Wicked Wench

I love the moving cloud effects on the night sky as they burn the town

I love the upramp at the end. That too just says DL and ORIGINAL to me... I think the way they modified it at WDW just sucks. I prefer to ride the boat up, not a speedramp! :lmao:

I especially love the beginning when you go past the Blue Bayou and the old man rocking on the porch. It sets the mood for a fun adventure! :goodvibes

Its funny, others said this exact same thing and I cant believe I never posted it earlier either. I totally agree, thats one of the things that totally get you hyped up for the entire ride.

But also Ive been on this ride a million times but im reading others comments about what they liked and I am not even remembering some of those little details. I will have to watch out for that. Like the portrait of the pirate wench above the bar.

My favorite is the pirate Wench portratit above the bar. My DBF wants one for his room. He said that was me in my previous life. Also gottal love Capt. Jack 3 times.

I do admit. We miss the old scene at the end.Where the 2 pirates are pushing the treasure up hill. As one used to break wind as he was pushing.

The tranquility of the initial voyage with the fireflies and the night sky with full moon, plus the realistic looking restaurant patrons. ;)
